HORRENDOUS printer and tech support I ordered this in March. It will NOT connect with my wireless internet service! I've worked repeatedly with my internet provider to get it to print from a Mac laptop and/or a PC laptop. When I'm lucky, I can get it to print a few pages. Lately NOTHING! Printer didn't work out of the box and had to ... Printer didn't work out of the box and had to get on the phone with technical support for an hour. Should get a full refund just for wasting my time.
I had the printer for two months and now ink ... I had the printer for two months and now ink leaks all over the paper. I have been using their cartridges. The cartridge that came with the printer I haven't even changes yet. Not sure what to do and I cannot return it now.
Printer doesn't support Eero Wifi The main issue I have with this WiFi printer is that is doesn't connect to my new Eero Wifi mesh setup because the printer requires a less secure Wifi format. :(
I hate new printers because I know that I'm going to ... I've only used this briefly, so I can offer no opinion as to its durability. The single most significant criteria for me is ease of set-up. I hate new printers because I know that I'm going to lose hours of my life trying to connect them, and will probably end up frustrated and cursing. This one connected wirelessly with relative ease.
Blam. Printed. Done. Never again, do I have to go fumbling with attachment cords. Thank you, gods of the ethernet! Also loving the fact that I am not a slave to the ink farms. No, it doesn't print in color, but get out your adult coloring pencils if you need color that bad. Sometimes, you just need to print stuff fast. This Brother really does it. Blam. Printed. Done.
This printer is a piece of junk and I'm furious ... This printer is a piece of junk and I'm furious. Bought it hoping to finally get a wireless printer that works, and it doesn't. Have been on the phone with Brother for hours, and they can't figure it out either. Won't stay connected to wifi, won't print, stays stuck on receiving data. What a bummer. Not a copier. You can not make copies. My cannon copier broke after 20 years. Please do not buy this if your looking for a copier. I misread that and now I'm out of the $320 I spent for Brother HL-L5200DW with the toner and warranty (which never came).
Way to complex to install and it won't install. Don't waste your time with this unless you are an IT fellow. Need a software engineer and a system administrator to install it. I am neither so still not being able to print a single page. Yes there are several instructions and CD full of things to do here and there with your firewall and this and the other, but ultimately I have an HP printer that connects immediately and with no CD and registrations etc etc. My HP had issues with the wireless connection (going "offline"), hen... read more
