Eh...it's okay. It's okay. I received it yesterday. I tried to get the wireless hooked up, but it kept telling me that it couldn't install. Finally in frustration, I decided to just hook it up directly to my computer. Man, is this thing LOUD! Piece of junk printer that lost it after being moved from one room to another. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I have used this printer just a few times (literally) and when I went to transfer this printer and computer it was attached to wirelessly to another room, it will not work anymore. Still a great printer, but with annoyances not present in earlier models Rated at four stars because it works about as well as all the previous Brother monochrome lasers I've had, which is pretty much flawlessly. Horrible Horrible For Printing Labels This printer picks up 2 sheets when you try to print labels so you end up with half of the label on one sheet and the other half of the label on the 2nd sheet. A total waste of expensive in label paper. It doesn't usually jam the printer when both label sheets go through but sometimes it does. To print labels you have to open the paper drawer and only insert 1 label sheet at the time. I only use full label sheets and 30 label sheets so this is the only 2 style label sheets that I use. Print smeared ink Had problems the first week. It keeps smearing the ink on our eBay labels. It kept disconnecting from our internet every 30 minutes so we are currently hardwiring it. If we print 8 pages maybe the first 7 are smeared but not the 8th page. Sometimes all 100 pages would be smeared.
Doesn't respond...goes into sleep mode The printer does not respond as it goes into sleep mode. Everytime we want to use it, we have to turn it off and then back on.
Fast once it gets going but not enough memory (256mb ... Fast once it gets going but not enough memory (256mb and can not be upgraded). Hardwired network not wireless. Used as a student printer. If more than 3 simultaneous users it just does not print. Also goes into Deep Sleep and will not print. Have another in a 2 person office and it's OK.
Printer does not wake up from DEEP SLEEP mode - factory glitch The Brother HL-6200DW has a factory glicth. It goes into DEEP SLEEP mode and does not wake up when you send it a print job. Cannot rely on it in a busy office setting. Non-technical employees will have to struggle with DEEP SLEEP problem on this printer. This is a factory lemon that other Brother printers experience identical problem - Google "DEEP SLEEP and the name of your Brother printer" and you will see that it is unresolved factory problem.
Great while it's working Great unless/until it malfunctions. Brother's warranties are worthless. Be prepared to pay for a fix or replacement yourself.
