This model has no "toner continue" mode Why one star for a printer that actually does a good job of printing almost one copy per second? Because when the "toner low" message appears, you MUST install a new cartridge on this model, even though the last copy you printed looks perfectly black. Brother printers used to have a "toner continue" mode that you could use when "low toner" appeared (and apparently many of their models still do). Read before you buy.. Please... I hate those I only wrote this review because...This is at least our 6th machine from Brother all the way from 20,000.00+ Direct to print machines to simple printers. Purchased this printer in May 17, 2017 and just under 3 months June 5, 2017 we had a problem it had lines in the print so talked with tech support jump though all the hoops and came to a decision the toner cartage was bad and they would send me out a new one even though his email said it was the Drum. Poor Brother Customer Service We have one of these in our office and it gets 5 stars. Performs like a champ. We just bought a second, same model, of these HLL6200DW. This one WILL NOT print envelopes without ghosting. It doesn't matter what envelope, I tried several different types. I tried changing it from plain paper to envelope in the settings. I tried going to 300dpt and still it ghosts by lifting ink from the address and redepositing it near the outside edge of envelope. EVERY TIME. I called Brother and they insist that... read more
Wrinkles Paper Wrinkles paper. Had the first one replaced by Brother for this issue. Now the replacement is doing the same thing. If you do two-sided printing expect to replace this printer OFTEN. Doesn't have the problem on single side printing. Unfortunately, most of my printing is two sided.
This printer was bad out of the box We have used many of these printers and had great success. I keep and extra on hand ready to deploy. We tried to deploy this printer yesterday and it would not work. It is past our time to return. Would like to figure out a solution to exchange it Thank you
Printer cartridge does not provide the stated amount of prints. The product itself is great. Very useful as I am a classroom teacher and always in need of large quantities. However, I was disappointed with the fact that I am already on low ink and have only printed approx. 1400 copies with a cartridge that yields 5000. The cartridge is a Brother cartridge that came with the printer. worked great. This printer is a piece of crap I wiuld highly suggest not purchasing this product. I have had three other Brother printers in the past, worked great. This printer is a piece of crap. Paper crinkles.callef customer service numerous times. Basically telling me it's my fault, ie paper not correct, too humid, old paper, not putting paper in correctly.
