    BEWARE OF ELECTRICAL DEMANDS OF THIS PRINTER! I am disposing of this printer after six months of use. Why? When I first installed this printer in my office last winter, it was an annoyance that the lights flickered whenever the printer was used. I read only after my purchase of the Brother HL-L6200DW that others had reported this electrical problem as well.     Dirty print quality. I will likely never purchase another product from Brother again. Print quality with this machine is very poor. The unit appears to have a major problem containing toner and preventing the print drum from getting dirty which then translates directly to the printed page. I have cleaned the drum several times and while the next couple of pages might look a little bit better, they are far from perfect or what I would expect from a laser printer.     Smudges every 10th page even after cleaning The thing I hated about this product is that it prints smudges on the pages about every 10th page. This is the 2nd printer that I tried, and I even cleaned the drum at the instruction of the manufacturer.

    Fast printing, but poor quality We're a homeschooling family with a small business as well, so our printer gets a lot of use. This is our second attempt with this particular model. The first one we received seemed to have been a bit of a "lemon" with frequent issues with ink splatter and wrinkled/creased pages. Amazon was great to work with on getting a return/replacement.     Horrible customer support. Can’t register. Can’t connect Well I loved this printer for 5 months until I needed to change my network settings. Apparently the printer doesn’t like changes and would not connect. Trying to reach someone at brother was a joke. I contacted amazon and they couldn’t find a way to register the product, to use the warranty and the only support offered costs money. Amazon was good enough to let me return the printer.     horrible printer We only had this printer 2 months and it broke! Will not work at all.

    You must replace the toner cartridge when Brother says so. BEWARE, this printer does not have a "toner continue" option. What that means is when Brother (not you) decides that the toner cartridge needs replacing, you must replace it. It doesn't matter that you don't have a second cartridge on-hand or that you don't care what the print quality is or that you must print whatever you're printing within the next 10 minutes or that the nearest office supply store is 40 minutes away.
