It’s okay.... Update: i gave it a 3 since this doesn’t print clearer pictures now after printing more than 2 hundred graphics. It takes time to recieve the printing job from wireless computer, doesn’t print right away. AGAIN, color quality is not at its best. I wish to return this, but the huge box was already fiddled by my neice and could no longer use it. Plus, this is VERY HEAVY. Network setup doesn't work. Network configuration, which in this day and age, should be a piece of cake, fails. As a computer professional, I've installed hundreds of printers and computers over many decades. This should just plug an go. I've wasted too much time on this thin. Amazon, can I get my money back?

I liked this printer up until this past Monday I liked this printer up until this past Monday. It ran out of starter toner in ONE cartridge, and then the printer REFUSED to print in B&W which I needed to print exams for my college students. I was willing to live with 'starter cartridges' but when you run the printer utility, black is at 3/4 and my colors are empty. This is strange because apart from maybe 15-20 pages of color graphs for my kids' science fair projects, I've not printed anywhere near 100, let alone 1000 pages ... read more

no joy. In short This printer is set up for full color printing PERIOD. Brother makes it purposefully almost impossible to run solely black printing...and the price of the full 4 color replacement toner set is around $400. What is especially aweful is the printer cartridges are supposed to last for 10k copies...in practice you are lucky to get 2000 copies out of the full set...and if ONE of the four cartridges is low...you are stuck....the rigged system will NOT print...even though you have selected black only for both the p... read more
It won’t duplex! This has been extremely frustrating. I wanted a printer that would duplex. I had no problem with that with my previous brother printers. Sometimes it does it but most of the time not (even though I always select to print on both sides). I contacted Brother customer support online and they told me to redownload and install the driver. I have done that 3x. I have also updated the firmware. After updating the Firmware it printed the next document double sided and then after that it seems it won’t again. VERY FR... read more
