Brother support has been absolutely horrendous. From the first page printed, this printer has had smudges on the pages. Unfortunately, we purchased this printer right as the school year was coming to a close (to print items for school from home) and when we finally used the printer the return window with Amazon was closed. Amazon attempted to help with a credit for a replacement toner cartridge as that was the suspected issue, however this did not resolve the issue. Failed after only 1 year and 3 months Extremely disappointed in this printer. Had it for about a year and 3 months and just out of warranty, the fuser worn out. We do print significant amount but nowhere near the spec. From the very beginning, the main issue was ink, this printer simply gulps the ink with voracious appetite and the replacement cartridges are extremely expensive. Do not expect help Pro. T printer seems solid and prints nicely. Cons. Lots of them. Setup for me was a nightmare. This printer may be labeled as for home or small office, but it is meant to be setup by an IT pro. I never did get wireless working, so resorted to hard wiring. Installation instructions were typically Brother, vague and often misleading. after two unsuccessful attempts I logged onto the chat hookup which was a waste of time. Toner stopped sticking to the paper after a while. I print a lot of labels with this printer. Had no issues for the longest time. Full color images on smooth label paper. Using the tray it recommends and all of their settings. The print comes out of the printer flaked and stringing off. Tried all of the different settings. Wasted hundreds of sheets of paper. can not print grey color when I print grey color pages，it looks very dirty.
Work horse Low quality but very enonomic. It seems last long. Canon ImageClass printer has much better quality of photos.
DO NOT BUY. You cannot reset toner cartridges. CANNOT RESET TONER. I wish I never bought this to replace my last Brother printer. The ONLY reason I stuck with Brother was the ability to reset the toner because we can usually get twice the life from our cartridges before replacing them. I didn’t know brother removed this ability and I HATE THIS PRINTER NOW. I have no reason to buy Brother again and will look for a different brand. This is ridiculous.

Bad print quality right out of the box. I sent about 10 different full color photos to test this printer right out of the box. Images were streaky and colors were terrible compared to every other printer I have on prem which are all HPs.
