Dreadful Holiday Inn in NYC Very cramped and overpriced noisy room in poor condition. I travel 60 nights a year and this is the worst holiday inn I have ever stayed in. Unhelpful staff. Do not stay here.
The room was ok. Really small hotel, if you’re clostrophobic, this is not for you. The room was really not up to date, coffee machine was not working, tv was not working and the walls were covers in stains. The bathroom was clean. Definitely not worth the money at all, way too expensive for what it is and the staff isn’t responsive at all. They charged us a $17 daily fee we didn’t asked for, and it gave us 2 bottles of water per day, ridiculous. Staff was friendly and helpful, but the property is incredibly dated and in a serious need for renovation and repair. The room was dirty with several malfunctioning features. I would not book this property unless I know it’s been renovated.
I must have been out of luck. The room I was guided to had a strong smell from the moment I opened the door, and the carpet was in tatters. I think it's probably an old room that hasn't been updated. The air conditioner was so old that the air blowing out from it smelled so bad that I couldn't stand staying for a long time. I booked for 2 nights, but checked out after 1 night and moved to another hotel.

Not happy I was very disappointed the cards to enter room did not work I had to wait 39 mins for check in and then it was fixed and later the evening did not work Again. They change my room to a downgrade room for same price and the bathroom was dirty and the carbets wet and had a bad smell.
AVOID! This is a one star hotel charging three star hotel prices (plus a ridiculous “destination fee”). One member is staff is incredibly rude and shouts at anyone who asks questions about anything, including the dodgy destination fee. The ceiling in our room had a leak which was never fixed and it wasn’t possible to actually turn the shower fully off so it just kept running. There’s also an odd smell throughout the whole building, including the rooms. Stay somewhere else.
Shocked! Worst experience ever in an hotel. My wife and I were verbally attacked and threatened by one of the persons working in the lobby when we were about to check out. I almost was about to call 911, all started when I asked for a printed invoice and she started yelling aggressively that she didn’t have any other invoice apart from the taxes document and literally said that it was her last day there and that she didn’t care (using other words) if a denounce her or make a complaint. This literally seems like a fake Holiday Inn. Like Expedia and customers are being scammed. I have pictures that would shock you. You should de-list this property. Filthy, unprofessional, peeling walls, restaurant is boarded up! Sink clogged, smelly lobby. I paid $300 on Expedia then they charged me $92 when I arrived. This would be great hidden camera investigation for tv news station.
