While the selection is one of the better on the island, Homeworld uses Certegy to guarantee checks used by their customers to make purchases. This company for no reason given denied my check even though funds are and were available. Then, without any attempt to contact me to get another form of payment, my account was sent to a collection agency who was contacting me less than 2 weeks after the purchase date! Customer service is non-existent. Here are the facts. Decide for yourself. I've purchase several pieces from Homeworld in the past two years. Apparently, if you don't buy their extended warranty, they don't care about you once your product has been delivered. November 2015 - Purchased beautiful wood table and chairs. Walked in there and thought I lucked out with a sectional that the sales person said was a special order that was never delivered and just put on the showroom floor the day before. So after my last two star review this business did what any other proper business would do and they reached out to contact me regarding my last visit. I provided them with my contact information and was given a promise of someone from management would call. No call ever came. It's apparent that customer service isn't their strong suit and they survive not by the products or service they provide but rather by being one of the few choices on island for furniture asides from the Walmart variety.
We bought a bed frame and waited for delivery. Nice guys came to assemble but couldn't because there were many parts missing. They called in to find out how to proceed, then left. No one from Homeworld called me. The parts are unassembled on our bedroom floor. I have no idea what is happening. This is a 4th rate company asking 1st rate prices for furniture that isn't even inclusive of all the parts. Okay, they called and fixed it. Still.
Furniture is nice, and a lot of selection. BUT from the moment we walked in we were stalked. I couldn't get a minute to myself to talk to my husband without being hovered over. We felt so smothered, and it made an experience that is supposed to be fun and exciting very annoying. At the end the saleswoman said "just so you know we work off of commision" yeah obviously The whole experience made me not want to purchase anything from here. Way too pushy.
Watch out for Bruce. He's useless. Won't return phone calls and will lie about when your items will be available. He will also give you a ton of attitude. Since he doesn't call me, I then had to call and see if my item had arrived and it had been ready for a week. I asked Bruce when he was going to call me and he said "tomorrow". horrible store and the worst customer service! to the racist, cocky, old haole guy with the east coast accent who refused to help us find a platform bed for reasons that are beyond us (possibly our ethnic background?) -- your store sucks!
