My mother broke her hip and after surgery at Hoag, was transferred to Huntington Valley Healthcare. The first night was in a 3 person room and not good! I think coming from single person room at Hoag to being squeezed 3 in a room unexpectedly was a shock. But within 3 days, she was in a 2 person room where she has been for almost 3 weeks. My mother, 84 years old, was admitted to Huntington Valley(HV) in last week of June. I am very please with the way she was treated at HV - the nurses are experience, the CNA are very loving and sufficient(Olivia is my mother's best CNA) and best of all, the physical therapy(PT) staffs are well experience( five star rating) and very patient of treating my mother's lumbar compression fracture. Hi , to anyone in need of a Skilled Nursing Facility, especially if Physical Or Occupational Therapy is a major concern. I was helped by Nicole, Donald, Heather,Theresa and my case Mgr. it begins with a B (Please forgive me, I'm having a Senior Moment, I can't remember his name ! I'm So Sorry! Anyway, They came and got me from the very first morning to take me to therapy everyday and would come back repeatedly if I wasn't able to go at that time. i wanted to say how wonderful of a facility you have there!! i was there yesterday to visit my wife, and i was greeted very warmly by a wonderful lady named michelle!! she did an amazing job greeting everyone there, tending to each individual's needs, and she even came with me to my wife's room several times to help her to get her wifi connected in her room so she could watch movies and other shows, and made sure that it worked before she left, and i really appreciated that and her very much!! i made friends with her imme... read more

My dad has been moved from one hospital to an X facility to hospital and back to that X facility and back to a hospital for various conditions. But after that last visit we moved him to Huntington Valley Healthcare Center. We were blessed from the first meeting with Michelle (care Manager) and we saw the excellent care they provided. I was in orange coast hospital for 42 days suffering from a phuemonia ,i was in I C U for 2 weeks i lost weight from 180 to 128 pounds then moved to huntington valley health care, and the team there was just great the diet i was put on was double portions they put on me 14 pounds in 2 weeks and physical therapy was so outstanding,they taught me to walk again as it was i could not even stand on my own. I was recently sent to Huntington Valley for rehabilitation after a two week hospital stay. I was met by pleasant caring people who were exceptional at their jobs and cared about every patient they encountered. Since the focus of my stay was rehabilitation on my back I was immediately evaluated on the first full day of my stay and a plan was put into place immediately to meet rehab goals and expectations. My mom has had a great experience at Huntington Valley. They all know her and talk to her and treat her with dignitiy. The Physical and Occupational therapists are amazing, they have help her so much. They go out of their way to encourage her and when she is less than happy they are very patient. Honestly from the nursing staff to the therapists I can say enough, thank you.
