I absolutely love J-Prime. The food is always delicious and the service is usually exceptional. However, my experience this past Saturday was not very good. The food was great but the service wasn't. I had to wait for drink refills (even though I was sitting at the bar), silverware and they tried to charge me for seven drinks that weren't mine. I understand human error but this was a lot for one visit. Especially when the service is usually outstanding.
We went for our anniversary expecting a quiet stress free evening. However that was not the case. Place was jammed packed including a large bus full of people getting there at same time as us. Service was what you would expect with a full restaurant, slow. Our waitress did what she could but one cannot overcome the magnitude of patrons. It took over 40 minutes to get our first drink. I believe the restaurant did not expect the crowd and were understaffed. We probably won’t return for a while.
Seems like the quality of food has declined from what I remember
The food was good not great the noise level was loud in the bar and every time the door opened you could feel the heat not a great experience
This restaurant was so loud, it was impossible to hear our table mates without struggle. They were out of crab legs, which I had my heart set on and the service was slow. Corn was below average and the shrimp was fishy.
Great food and service. Ambiance and noice level are okay. I recommend happy hour tacos and fried shrimp.
Always a great experience but didn’t like our table location on this visit. Music is also too loud for a fine dining restaurant.
Always a favorite for a great steak. Food was excellent and service was attentive. We weren’t Excited with the background technology music but it was a lively Saturday night.
We have always enjoyed J-Prime for special occasions. Last year the food and especially the service was incredible…this year it fell short of our expectation. The food was overall good. My husband thought the Caesar salad was fair but odd that it had tomatoes. My beet salad was delicious. We were still finishing the sorbet when the steak arrived to the table. It felt a bit rushed.
