Low Quality Jandy Product The quality of Jandy products have deteriorated over the past 10 years. The Original PLC 1400 Saltwater Cell lasted 11 years. The performance was good up until the unit failed. The new Jandy Zodiac AquaPure is JUNK!!!! The electrode plates were destroyed inside the unit and this was moving water. No internal gears or rubbing parts. They didn't last 3 years and of course the plates were beyond the 2 year warranty. DO NOT BUY JANDY - EVER!!!! Repeat sensor fail. Both old and new model sensor. while this thing worked, it worked great. I had two failure of the sensors, so I replaced them twice. and then it stopped working again. My chlorinator sat idle for 5 years, while I just used chlorine and acid myself. This year the chlorine costs have been high, so I decided to try a chlorinator again. My neighbor has had a Hayward Swimpure plus for many years and loves it. So I went ahead a got one of those. Just setting it up. I know its amost 2x as expensive as the Jandy.... read more
Absolutely plug in compatible with my AquaPure system Likes: absolute compatibility, chlorine production is now back to normal with no 120/121 error service codes. Also, this was supplied in the original Jandy packaging including a new 2 electrode flow/salt sensor and two 50mm PVC unions. 4 months and it says cell is bad Extremely unhappy. Bought this cell last year (end of May) to start my season - my season is typically May - September. This year I’m opening early and day #1 I’m throwing 120/121 errors. They say to clean or replace cell - that is literally 4 months of use out of this cell!

Not worth the expense Rube Goldberg 10 Years and second cell just failed. Instead continue to add salt for slight salivation and then add chlorine dispenser. The slight salivation with low level chlorine worked great last year. No need for this Rube Goldberg crap.

Seller doesn't accept return of the defective item Jandy Zodiac AquaPure PLC1400 was working fine for less then 10 months and stopped. System is showing error 120. Seller doesn't accept a return or exchange.

Easy Install I was replacing the same cell so the install was very easy. I can't speak to the longevity of this cell obviously, but install was not hard. After install, I kept waiting for the Cell Reversing LED to go off but it never did - at least while I was watching. I did see the cell on and flow LED's light up (while the cell reversing LED was also lit) but never saw cell reversing turn off.
