Japanese Auto Masters was founded in 1982 by Tom and Cindi Potter in a small shop close to the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Tom originated Japanese Auto Masters to address the needs of consumers driving Japanese-made vehicles at a time when there were no independent repair service centers that specialized exclusively in all Japanese makes and models. We also service all Domestic vehicles as well.

This is the only shop I trust. After having been to other repair shops and getting over charged or shoddy work, I have found Japanese Auto Masters to be reasonable in repair costs and very reliable with the quality of their work!

Been going to Japanese Auto for over 20 years and I'm thankful to have an auto repair shop that I can trust 100%. I've taken my vehicle to them after a dealership told me I needed certain work done and Japanese Auto found this not to be true. When I've brought my vehicle in and told them it was due for certain service according to the mileage, they, on quite a few occasions, have checked the suggested service items (ie, brake fluid, coolant, transmission fluid replacement, etc) and told me what fluids needed changing and whi... read more
