Japanese Auto Masters was founded in 1982 by Tom and Cindi Potter in a small shop close to the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Tom originated Japanese Auto Masters to address the needs of consumers driving Japanese-made vehicles at a time when there were no independent repair service centers that specialized exclusively in all Japanese makes and models. We also service all Domestic vehicles as well.

As always, I enjoyed my visit at the Japanese Auto Masters. I come in early to have an oil change and what ever else is needed. There is always the morning paper to read and pleasant conversation. Time passes quickly and my car is ready. The charges are fair and reasonable. I leave with confidence that my car is in good working condition.

When I called for an estimate Mr. Potter was very informative and helpful and provided good advice regarding replacing my timing belt. I received a follow up call confirming my appointment and morning drop off was quick and easy. My only concern was that all of the work we discussed was not completed on my invoice. Mr. Potter doubled my warranty to 24 months in case anything should go wrong and apologized for the miscommunication. Very happy with overall service!

I apologize for the misunderstanding at the time you dropped off your vehicle for service concerning the additional tensioner pulleys I had discussed with you prior to your recent visit. The technician examined the parts carefully while it was apart for the timing belt /water pump service. There was no reason to believe they would fail between now and the next service interval when a timing belt is required. We always feel that the service and explanations of repairs are explained thoroughly and recommendations are appreciated. The only reason we did not give a 5th star is because we made this appointment for a repair that was recommended from a previous visit and had to wait three days for completion. This would not keep us from returning or telling our friends about Japanese Auto Masters!
