Overall experience is pretty good, except couple issues. "Napkins" is made of cheap rough brown recycling paper, it isn't a sign & what a fine dining offers. When we sat down & be given food menu, it isn't clean & few food debris are on it.
Food was dissatisfactory, table arangement was crowded, the place needed a bit more light, music not so fantastic, a bit of a wait to be placed at the table, in general too expensive for what you get back.. not coming again. Oh, and the toilet was upstairs, one had to climb a long flight of stairs to use the bathroom. In general a big NO.
We've been to this restaurant 3 times and sadly each visit became more disappointing. The weak link is actually the food not the service. The service is phenomenal! The serving staff really take care of all your needs and they go above and beyond, no problems there. Food consistency is the problem and it seems to suffer more on weekends. Serving waitress was not friendly, something was wrong with her that me and my guest both felt and mentioned to each other. No smile, no chit chat and conveyed a more stand off attitude. This was expressed several times visiting our table. Even after getting the final bill it was felt that we were being rushed to leave. This is not the normal service experience at Joeys.
This is a great spot and usually quite busy. Had a reservation for lunch and arrived right at noon. There were hardly any people in the bar area which i had reserved. We were seated quickly and water delivered to our table within a minute or two and were told "your server will be with you shortly".
