As someone who has worked in restaurants before, this visit was extremely disappointing. To start, the service was terrible. Our server made it seem like she didn’t want to be there. First issue was after we had our apps, rather than offering fresh cutlery she was like you want to put them on the table, until your mains come out. We should have either been given fresh cutlery or asked if we wanted fresh cutlery. Then when the mains came out, the steak was cold. I let her know and she sent it back. This reservation at Joey Sherway was for a birthday celebration which the staff claimed that they did not know. It was clearly stated in the reservation made. They did not acknowledge the birthday for the special person. Overall, very disappointing.
We had a girls night, there were 3 of us at the table. We had to go get our server or a near by server each time we needed assistance for example our food came but we had no cutlery. We had to get up to go ask for it. When the food came it was cold, meaning it was prepped and waiting. it just seems like we were forgotten about. We had 2 people come to collect payment, and 2 people came to ask if we wanted desert, we had to call someone for us to place our desert orders. Horrible experience at this one.
Service was very slow and there were a ton of fruit flies around us and our food which unfortunately really ruined our experience and meal.
Our waitress was amazing. Food was great. However, our area was full of fruit flies. Kind of wrecked our experience. For the price we pay for a meal we expected a clean restaurant but the place was full of fruit flies. At least 5 surrounded our table.
