Poor service (our server was absent -she did not check on us or provide us with the appropriate plates and cutlery despite being in our vicinity) but the food and ambience was great.
We had made reservations for our anniversary. We were asked if it was a special occasion. We responded yes. But no one remembers when we got there. This is not acceptable. The experience was not good . Rate it 1 out of 5.

Our group had to send back food multiple times due to improper cooking or receiving the wrong meals. Our server was very nice, and brought us complimentary desert and comped half the bill. She saved our experience. It was also our friends birthday
The server was a little snarky, had dirty dishes all through dinner not picked up right up to dessert. Specifically asked for a birthday candle in the reservation, not received and there was a mix up in the food and the steak was overcooked. Lots of staff milling around having a chat so no excuses....

The entire experience was not the greatest. The hostesses were not the friendliest and they didn’t follow through on providing us with a standard table. Instead we were given a lounge high top table. I had also asked for a window table but I had a feeling that would have been above standard and that they wouldn’t come through, which they didn’t. There was no apologies/acknowledgement or anything from them. Food wasn’t the tastiest but the server Hannah was attentive and great.

Considering the price and reputation Joey Shipyards has, it was a disappointing stay!

I had announced that it was our wedding anniversary, and that it would be a good place with a good view, but they gave us a large table for four that was not comfortable at all, we couldn't even sit across from each other. They didn't have any plans for our wedding anniversary. In general, making a reservation was no different from going in person.

For starters, the hosts gave our table to someone else. When we arrived they said to us “two of your guests are already at the table” this was impossible as our parents were parking the car when my sister and I arrived. We then had to sit at a high top squished with not enough room. We were also bit late to our reso but we called the restaurant 4 times and no one picked up her phone.
