We have a fuel oil boiler system that failed on Thursday afternoon (11-20-20), and have a supply (propane and fuel oil) and service contract with John Ray & Sons - we realized it was late fall, an upcoming holiday weekend, and the likelihood of other customers with similar emergency issues to be pronounced. I had to have a propane tank installed at this new home I just moved into and Tim Barnett tech #89 and Richie Jones tech # 98 were so nice and installed the tank quickly..went over all the information on the dangers of propane and anything else I needed to know as I am not familiar with using propane. I am going to be having them service my furnace as well!

I am a 69 year old disabled p[erson. John Ray and sons sent a technician out to my house because my furnace was not worlong. RTye technician came in looked at the furnace and ten told me that his boss had told him not to fix my furnace. I spoke to his boss who told me that my furnaace was old and should be replaced. This was th first time anyone from JOhn Ray had told nme this. (I have livrd in this house fro three years, So yes they left me in the middle of winter as an elder with disabilities. Absolutely the WORST company out there !!! Not only do they charge the Highest rate per gallon over a dollar above everyone else , When you Sign up they charged us a REFUNDABLE Deposit of 350$ which we were charged twice for , Then when we finally had enough of their awful customer service we found another company , They not only took three weeks to pick up our tanks but then also Charged us 300$ to pick up their tanks ,  After  we had spoken to one of the girls at the office who said at the time we signed up there was eithe... read more

When you see on the internet that John Ray & Sons, a division of Petro Star Inc., “… will provide you with reliable fuel delivery, expert service, peace of mind…”, take it with a grain of salt. The company, namely, its automatic delivery in the Albany area, is unreliable in many aspects.
