A part of DC history. And a fun and interesting spot full of fascinating characters, both in the volumes for sale and those crawling up the aisles or deep in conversations in the cafe.
Great vibe, bar tenders are cool, lots of books! Anywhere with books and great food and I'm in. I the French toast is
Went to brunch around noon without a reservation and didn't have to wait too long. We were able to get a table outside without a fuss. Service was good but the food was only okay. Good location for people watching.

Fun bookstore with great food too! Their brunch is delicious (I enjoy their eggs Benedict) and their greenhouse style interior is very chic. I also think the bar is highly underrated. There's almost always available seating and it's perfect vibes for happy hour or a first date. Unfussy, good-quality cocktails with an impressive liquor selection.
What could be better than books, food and cocktails all in one location? We were in DC for the weekend and were wandering around Dupint Circle and decided to check out Kramer's for happy hour. It's a bookstore with a kitchen and bar. We just stuck with cocktails. Our bartender was great and super talented. I had one of the best Pimm's Cups I'd ever tried though the other two cocktails I had were just as delicious. Hubby's Manhattan was also delcious and perfectly made. It wasn't super busy around 3pm. I love that they also h... read more
At rific bookstore and eclectic restaurants all in one. My only disappointment was in their beer selection which is completely local.
Kramers is such a gem (not that hidden) and as popular as it is I've never not been able to find a table when visiting this adorable bookstore and cafe. The space is really three separate things: a cozy/lux bar area that hosts live music and comedy sometimes, a bookstore split into two sides for fiction and non fiction, and an adorable cafe with natural light inside and ample seating outside for sunny days. Their cookbook section is incredible and their puzzle selection is a standout. For food and drinks I recommend their Cu... read more
This quaint little bookstore is the cutest thing ever. We walked in through their kitchen which was interesting, the other entrance is more direct to the book store and you'll find a coffee shop in there as well. It is definitely a busy little place.I walked in with a handful of friends and we which were able to find a book that suited us. The staff is friendly and helpful. And there is plenty of room to walk around. They also have the cutest magnets and tote bags for sale! This bookstore is a 10/10 in my book and I will... read more
Pleasantly surprised by the food; the real standouts being the tuna and toasted rice cake dish and the peanut butter chocolate pie. The drinks were tasty too, esp the beer tasting that was free. I think I'll roam around the book store next time to get the full experience.
