Service was very very slow and inattentive, took about 15 mins before anyone came to our table
After eating there two years ago we saw a decline in the quality and quantify of the food. We basically ordered the same menu as two years ago, and will not be going back. Everything else was suberb, but the food.
Food/drinks seemed fine, if overpriced. Wait staff seemed capable. Owner/management were *actively* rude. This place seems like a well-publicized and insta-friendly flex for the owners instead of a fundamentally solid restaurant. Not a lot of authenticity here.
Great food and service. Was disappointed in where we were seated. We made reservations a few weeks in advance with a credit card ( that was unusual, since it wasn't a holiday), and we were seated right by the door with cold air constantly coming in at our table. We were there for a Birthday celebration, and that was a let down. It would have been great if it wasn't for that.
Our first time dining at La Stella. We were promptly seated for our reservation at a rather large table for our party but we made it work. I took my husband to La Stella for his birthday dinner . We had high expectations but were very disappointed. The ambiance was everything we had hoped it would be, the food was not .Our server and waiter were pleasant and very attentive . However , this is not authentic Italian food . I ordered a foie gras (a real piece of organ, not pate) and it came out uncooked (it was there specialty) and Im expecting a baby. I sent it back to cook, but they decided to not bring it back. All food was mediocre. They have live piano with a terrible sound technique so it isn’t enjoyable. They did not take my coat.
Unfortunately, was expecting something much better. Visit was disappointing. Had dinner there, eight people in the party. Entrees included lobster ravioli with saffron, sea bass, gnocchi, octopus, and shrimp scampi. Ok experience. Loud and table sits too close. Feels like a cafeteria, less fine dining. Pasta was ok. Tiramisu was the best.
