Went for our anniversary dinner, hostess seemed bothered that she was there. Original server was very quick and proper. We ordered drinks and an appetizer of the prosciutto wrapped praws. The dra Prawns were okay, I wasn't impressed. We had a different server that ended up taking over. She was fine but it seemed like she didn't want to take any other tables on. Don’t order the Lasagna. We’ve been going here for YEARS. It used to be a decent portion. This time, the serving we got was literally 4 in square, by no more than 2 inch high. It was a tiny block of lasagna swimming in sauce…I even had a manager look at it and confirm that this was their new portion. Our server was top notch. However the cook messed up my husband’s order luckily our server graciously comped his meal. The food honestly was mediocre. Prices for a glass of wine and a cocktail are way over priced as well as the cost of the food and what you get. I know things are expensive right now but 2 slices of veal, 3 pieces of asparagus, 1 tiny slice of zucchini, and four pieces of baby Potato for $34 $20 for a French 75, $13 for a small glass of Cabernet. We ate here after bowling. Our reservation was at 7:15. We checked in at like 7:13. We didn’t get seated until 7:30. The hostesses took people who came after us. After 10 minutes of waiting, we told one of the hostesses that we had been waiting. She basically rolled her eyes at me. That should’ve been our first clue that it was going to be terrible. Our server, Emily, was excellent. She was professional, warm, and efficient. The food, however, was subpar. The Caesar salad was dry. The carbonara was drowning in sauce and so inedible we returned it and asked for the dish to be removed from the bill. Our other entree, the seafood linguine, was supposed to be prepared in a white wine sauce. While the seafood was plentiful, the sauce was a soupy brown color that tinged the linguine brown. The place was pretty full with only 1 waiter. He did the best he could, but did not have time to check on us. We ordered an old fashion and it was horrible. It sat at our table for 30 minutes until we called over a manager and asked her to return it. She explain that she showed the bartender how to properly make the drink and brought us another one. It was great. Food was ok, not what we expected. Don’t really think we will return.
Ordered Risotto and Shrimp. Was very Al dente, sent it back and it was not redone instead it looked like it was put in the microwave because plate was super hot and risotto was now stuck to the plate and not moist. Waitress was very apologetic and asked me to order something else which I did. The third plate was delicious but by the time it was brought after 3 attempts my husband’s plate was cold as he was trying to eat his slowly to eat with me. It was our Anniversary and the night became memorable for the wrong reasons.
