Terrible Service, long lines, they close a minute early. Teller at window is rude. Payment was due that day and received a late payment on my account. Don't bank her they cost you nothing but time and money. The only cool person there is the security guard. He gets 5 stars and the only good thing about the damn place.

I hardly ever write a review but I was so disappointed the first time I entered LBS I had to write something. I am a new customer to this bank and my experience inside the bank was not very pleasant. I agree with a previous review that the employees have an "I don't care attitude." The lady in the front desk was not pleasant, I wish I would have gotten her name. The lady that did help me complete my transaction acted as if she was too good to even help me. I will never step into this financial business again. I will drive ... read more

Insanely slow lines! This afternoon I waited for 25 minutes until I gave up. During that time, the woman at the window managed to process only 1 customer fully (someone who was making a deposit: how complicated can that be?) and was still dealing with a second customer (who was simply cashing a check). In the middle of that transaction, she disappeared for a good 5 minutes, and that's when I decided to leave. This is not my credit union (I was simply using the ATM and then wanted to get change for some of those $20 bills), a... read more

Finally closed my account! I called the bank when I went to pay a bill via bill payment and no accounts came up. The rep stated it was a bill pay issue and transferred me over. Bill pay confirmed it wasn't their issue yet an LBS website issue because they have been getting that call all morning. So I called LBS back and inquired on when their website would be fixed. The male rep who called himself assisting me said he was going to change the code and change it back to see if it helped. I asked him if it would delete all my a... read more

Business response:

Dear Shay, We are so sorry about your experience with our bill payment. It's not acceptable that someone on our staff would accidentally delete your payees and not find a solution for you. We wish we could have solved the issues you were having back in February as well (we sent you a message with a contact, but did not hear from you). Since we don't have more information about your account and the situation you describe, we can only apologize for failing you. We will certainly speak with our teams about making certain thi... read more

Ok, this is not my credit union. My credit union's only location is on 2nd St, and you can imagine my excitement to go through that hell to access an ATM. The issues with this bank: First, it caters to a very large population and almost always has lines (meaning, it's not staffed well). Second, the employees, particularly the ones that serve at the window outside, are insanely slow. I don't know if they put the newest, least experienced people out there or what, but when you're standing in cold or rain for something sim... read more

LBS is the worst credit union I have ever been associated with as a teacher. Ridiculous rates compared to Schools First. They are much more like a bank than any other credit union I've known in 20 years as a teacher. As far as credit unions go - they deserve a negative five.

I am switching from Bank of America and their outrageous fees! A year ago, my wife switched from Chase to USC Credit Union. It was an easy process, fill out the paperwork, show required IDs, and receive your Tommy Trojan debit card and starter checks immediately. The main con was they only had branches in downtown LA. I decided not to switch right away and endure the fees that BOA was hitting my account with. But now, it's just waaay too much. So we searched for a local credit union that we could qualify membership for. L... read more

I wanted so badly to join this credit union. Will be relocating to Long Beach in a few months and really wanted to be part of the community in a significant way. When I visited this branch of LBSFCU, I was treated like I was more of an annoyance than a potential member. Ended up going to a competitor credit union that same day and received exceptional customer service.
