Awful customer service. I am a member at various credit unions and this is the worst. I just was on the phone with a rep and she could not handle a simple transfer. Then she put me on extended hold.
Business response:
We apologize for the service experience you had today. One of our call center supervisors will be reaching out to you.
This bank always takes forever to assist customers. They have 1 cashier open @2pm on a weekday. And ppl walking around in back jus staring at the ppl in line. This is not the first time I've experienced this here, And I'm sure it won't b the last.
Business response:
Onyxx, We are sorry to hear that we fell short on serving you at the East Long Beach branch. We weren't aware of a time yesterday where we had less than 2 people available to serve our Members. If you are willing to share more about your experience, please reach out to our Branch VP, Cindy Thomas at extension 4101. We truly appreciate the feedback.
Had a bunch of change I wanted to turn in. I decide to call my local branch to see if theyre open on Saturday. Cannot call my local branch directly, its a general call center number. Fine. Lady on the at the call center has to call my particular branch (Spring and Palo Verde) to ask my questions for me. Yes, they are open Saturdays and will take my change. Manager discourages rolled change? Says they have a change machine at some of their branches. But not this branch. Fine. After the call service person looks up the branche... read more

Hi Karey M. We are so sorry for the inconvenience with our coin machine and the information you received from our call center and East Long Beach branch. Our Members love our free coin machines and unfortunately, the high volume of use can occasionally cause a machine to go down for service. We appreciate your feedback and we will share it with our East Long Beach branch manager and our senior team. We take all Member feedback seriously and want to address situations such as this one to improve our services.
If I could give LBSFCU a negative 5 stars I would, without hesitation. You guys have been the worst people I've had to deal with for car loan. 5 years I've dealt with these people who are incompetent!! I know that harsh but please believe me when I say that. My mom gave permission for me to call in ask questions, make payments whatever it mat be, since it's my car, but yes in her name. They would always tell me they cant find the authorization she gave, several times, and would have issues talking to me. Every time!! For 5 y... read more
Business response:
Hi Shaee P. - We are sorry to hear that your car was totaled and that you have had a frustrating experience with your mom's loan. Your mom did in fact authorize us to provide you with information on the loan (which is a rare event given you are not associated with the loan account) and it appears that we need to improve the training of our call center representatives on this uncommon process. As you stated there was a small balance remaining after the insurance and GAP payments were applied. While the remaining balance is te... read more
This branch, in particular, is pretty awful. At least one out of the two ATMs is always out of order. ATMs are bad at taking deposits. Lines take forever and the branch always seems understaffed. One time LBS Financial actually deposited my paycheck into someone else's account. It's crazy (and nearly impressive) the levels of ineptitude this branch is able to reach sometimes. Today, I deposited over $400 into an ATM, it took my money, processed it, then returned it, kicking out all of my bills haphazardly and it also didn'... read more
Business response:
Sean B., Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us regarding our service and the ATM experience at our East Long Beach branch. We are so sorry you experienced a problem with our ATM this morning not taking your deposit. We did have an issue with one of our ATMs over the weekend (that is resolved), but aren't aware of consistent issues with our ATMs. We would really like to learn more from you about the frustrations you've experienced so we can improve. If you are willing to share more with us, please pr... read more
If you LOVE standing in long lines this is the bank for you! I stood in line today with 12 people ahead of me and watched 2 of the 4 tellers close their windows! I left. I have complained on several occasions and I always get the standard "2 people called in today". There are always people walking around behind the counter but NO ONE sees the long lines. It's maddening. This is not my bank, it accepts deposits for my bank. That's the only reason I step foot in this place.
Business response:
Hello Vance B.Thanks for your feedback about the service at our East Long Beach branch location. We are sorry for the wait time you experienced on April 1st. The 1st and the 15th of the month are always our busiest days at the branch, but we will definitely look into the situation with the shortage of teller windows available (or closing) and discuss with our Leadership Team.
They suck, they pretend to care about the community but they denied me a meager $500 credit card. Also they put my name wrong in their information and your routing number and bank account info is hidden you have to call them to get it.
Business response:
Thank you for your feedback, Dorotex A. We will be reaching out to you privately to discuss your Visa Credit Card application. Also, our routing number can be found on our website home page (link at the bottom of our home page), on the Direct Deposit page, within FAQs, and searched using the search engine at the top of any page.
Terrible service and be careful if you deposit the coin into the machine and we had to pay $30 because they said they couldn't do anything.
Business response:
We apologize that you had a terrible service experience at our East Long Beach branch. Our coin machines do require agreement to the fee before allowing you to proceed with your transactions, we are so sorry if you didn't notice the fee information on the screen prior to agreeing to move forward with your transaction. Members are not charged for coin transactions under $250. We appreciate your feedback about the service you received and will share with our East Long Beach branch manager and senior management.
July 25, 2018 This morning, I received a follow up call from my credit union in St Louis. I spoke with a management representative and informed her of my experience with LBS. She stated that LBS could have cashed my money order IF THEY WANTED because I purchased it from LBS. She said that she's never heard of such a policy or process where a member of a home or sister credit union would have to DEPOSIT THEIR MONEY ORDER INTO THEIR CHECKING ACCOUNT FOR THE HOME OR SISTER CREDIT UNION TO HOLD THEN CLEAR THE MONEY ORDER. "If yo... read more

Olubusayo, We are very sorry that you had a frustrating experience at our Credit Union. LBS Financial Credit Union is part of the CO-OP Shared Branch network and as you know, we serve members of other credit unions that are on that network. The CO-OP Shared Branch network has operating rules that all participating credit unions must follow. In this case we are required to first post the money order (or any negotiable instrument) to your account and then perform a withdrawal of the funds in order to facilitate cashing the ... read more
