After 5 months NO sign of my money. LBS says the government has it, www.claimit.ca.gov has no record of my money. Gee I wonder how many other people have experienced the same thing. Why wouldn't LBS just send me a check for what I had in my account and just close my account. They already had my address, they sent my statements to my house. Found out today that one of their employees accidentally withdrew approx. $1000 from my account to pay someone else's mortgage. That's fine, mistakes happen, but they can't fix their own mistake over the phone. I have to wait for them to mail me a form for me to sign and send back. Not express mail or FedEx by the way, regular snail mail. Absolute worst credit union I have ever dealt with. Bad loan rates, horrible app and online system, hard to get anyone on the phone to deal with the constant problems that arise such as double payments resulting in over drafts. Can not wait to refinance with a real credit union with better customer service.

I've been a member of this credit union for over 30 years. It has ALWAYs been slow and antiquated as far as technology and customer service, but I've dealt with it, mainly using online or mobile deposits. Very BAD customer service!! No professionalism by their staff. I would believe that LBSFCU would have aspirations to grow their business. To do that you need knowledgeable, experienced and most important personable professional employees that understand what customer service is. This place gives horrendous very poor customer service. I have been a credit union member for over 20 years. So I am not unfamiliar with the process of using shared branches since my primary credit union is over 30 minutes away. The LBC Federal Credit Unions on both sides of Long Beach are the only bad experiences I ever have using shared branches. The lady in the reception is so F rude, not giving me time just because I came to the bank in my PJs judging me by appearance not knowing how much money I actually have in the damn bank. So unprofessional I swear one more incident and I'm going to CHASE they are way more professional
The worst experience I have ever had with a financial institute. I have experienced nothing but wrong information and issues tying to make my payment. This is nothing but a scam filled with rude unhelpful people who constantly accuse the customer and do nothing to actually assist in fixing the process. IF you don't do anything with your money, it's fine. My issues are: 1. If I write a check to anybody and they try to cash it? I get a phone call. I appreciate the security measure, I guess, but it's super annoying that somebody can't cash a check I write them without the bank calling me. 2. The mobile deposit app is great UNLESS you happen to actually use it a lot. There's a cap on deposits. It's a 30 day cap. That cap doesn't automatically reset on the 1st of the month. It's ongoing.
