They suck, they pretend to care about the community but they denied me a meager $500 credit card. Also they put my name wrong in their information and your routing number and bank account info is hidden you have to call them to get it.

Business response:

Thank you for your feedback, Dorotex A. We will be reaching out to you privately to discuss your Visa Credit Card application. Also, our routing number can be found on our website home page (link at the bottom of our home page), on the Direct Deposit page, within FAQs, and searched using the search engine at the top of any page.

Terrible service and be careful if you deposit the coin into the machine and we had to pay $30 because they said they couldn't do anything.

Business response:

We apologize that you had a terrible service experience at our East Long Beach branch. Our coin machines do require agreement to the fee before allowing you to proceed with your transactions, we are so sorry if you didn't notice the fee information on the screen prior to agreeing to move forward with your transaction. Members are not charged for coin transactions under $250. We appreciate your feedback about the service you received and will share with our East Long Beach branch manager and senior management.

July 25, 2018 This morning, I received a follow up call from my credit union in St Louis. I spoke with a management representative and informed her of my experience with LBS. She stated that LBS could have cashed my money order IF THEY WANTED because I purchased it from LBS. She said that she's never heard of such a policy or process where a member of a home or sister credit union would have to DEPOSIT THEIR MONEY ORDER INTO THEIR CHECKING ACCOUNT FOR THE HOME OR SISTER CREDIT UNION TO HOLD THEN CLEAR THE MONEY ORDER. "If yo... read more

Business response:

Olubusayo, We are very sorry that you had a frustrating experience at our Credit Union. LBS Financial Credit Union is part of the CO-OP Shared Branch network and as you know, we serve members of other credit unions that are on that network. The CO-OP Shared Branch network has operating rules that all participating credit unions must follow. In this case we are required to first post the money order (or any negotiable instrument) to your account and then perform a withdrawal of the funds in order to facilitate cashing the ... read more

After 5 months NO sign of my money. LBS says the government has it, www.claimit.ca.gov has no record of my money. Gee I wonder how many other people have experienced the same thing. Why wouldn't LBS just send me a check for what I had in my account and just close my account. They already had my address, they sent my statements to my house. I guess they don't care about their customers or there money. You have to wonder what did happen to my money????? I have seen comments from employees at LBS in response to this post, but n... read more

Business response:

Found out today that one of their employees accidentally withdrew approx. $1000 from my account to pay someone else's mortgage. That's fine, mistakes happen, but they can't fix their own mistake over the phone. I have to wait for them to mail me a form for me to sign and send back. Not express mail or FedEx by the way, regular snail mail. If you're a customer you should make sure to regularly check your balance and keep extra money in the account for when they temporarily remove hundreds of dollars and can't be bothered to h... read more

Business response:

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Ashley. It appears we missed the mark and will be reaching out to you privately to discuss your situation further. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Absolute worst credit union I have ever dealt with. Bad loan rates, horrible app and online system, hard to get anyone on the phone to deal with the constant problems that arise such as double payments resulting in over drafts. Can not wait to refinance with a real credit union with better customer service.

Business response:

Thank you for letting us know your concerns, John. We will be reaching out to you to find out more information about the issues you've experienced. We just updated our Mobile app last week, so we hope you've had a chance to check out the enhancements.

I've been a member of this credit union for over 30 years. It has ALWAYs been slow and antiquated as far as technology and customer service, but I've dealt with it, mainly using online or mobile deposits. I appreciated protection, however, my last over the phone experience was horrendous! I only needed to have a sub account unlocked as it seems to not want to take my password every other month or so. Kelly asked about 10 questions on the account, in which I answered with no hesitation, from last 4 digits of ss# , address... read more

Very BAD customer service!! No professionalism by their staff. I would believe that LBSFCU would have aspirations to grow their business. To do that you need knowledgeable, experienced and most important personable professional employees that understand what customer service is. I applied for an auto loan only to go through the whole process for LBSFCU to approve the loan then at the last minute deny the loan for the vehicle since it was out of state. I was looking to get a reason why since the dealership provided LBSFCU wh... read more

This place gives horrendous very poor customer service. I have been a credit union member for over 20 years. So I am not unfamiliar with the process of using shared branches since my primary credit union is over 30 minutes away. The LBC Federal Credit Unions on both sides of Long Beach are the only bad experiences I ever have using shared branches. I have had a few bad experiences there but the straw that broke the camel's back was the time when I went to deposit some checks. I am a landlord so I have to deposit my tenants c... read more

Business response:

Thank you for your review, Tru. We are so sorry for your experience. We strive to offer great service to our Members and our Shared Branch Users with each and every interaction. I will be reaching out to you via private message to discuss your experience.
