We have loved the Rangoon Ruby in Palo Alto for years, so it is great to have another option in San Carlos. The food is consistent, and the service has been great. This location is small, so reservations are a good idea. Highly recommend Rangoon Ruby (any of the locations) or their alternate restaurant Burma Ruby (in Palo Alto).
Someone had given us a Gift certificate. It was our first time and we will be back. Great Food. Wonderful unique flavors and variations on dishes that surprise and delight the taste-buds! Friendly Service and charming atmosphere.
My husband and I went to this restaurant for a date night ,and we were a little disappointed. This restaurant is very loud, so we could barely hear each other talk and the tables are very close together. The food was ok, but maybe we ordered the wrong dishes. Probably will not go back.
This is a regular favorite for my wife and I. A great place for different food. The Tea Leaf Salad is the best. We are making it through the rest of the menu trying different dishes. Everything is great.
This was our first time here. We've been spoiled by more authentic Burmese restaurants in SF that aren't as fancy but tastier and much provide much better value. The staff is really great -- great service and so accommodating with kids so we really appreciated that aspect, especially for such a seemingly fancy restaurant. But unfortunately given the price and value I don't think we'll go back.

We recently enjoyed an amazing dinner at Rangoon Ruby's. The staff were terrific and the meal was served up fast and hot.. Everyone from the hostess to the server to the owner took great care of us. The food was great! So flavorful and varied. It was a delicious cross between Indian and Chinese and it did not disappoint. The tea leaf salad was particularly delicious. Very different from anything we had tried before. We tried a new California wine on their recommendation and thoroughly enjoyed it! We will definitely be back!
This is our first time at this place and we loved it. The food are tasty and the service are very good and friendly. Might try again at another location on Palo Alto.
