What we like the most about Lone star Living is the staff, they are personable and it is a well kept facility. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

My Mom is still in good health and has always been independent and at almost 88 didn't want to live with her children or grown grandchildren. So when I called A Place For Mom and got an almost immediate call back, it was diffnitely a life saver. We took Mom to a couple of places and she choose Lone Star and have been there for a month now and loves it!. She loves interacting and being social with the residents there and the food!

They seem to be helpful. My mom says [name removed] is a saint having to deal with so many elderly people. I know they've had some employee turnaround lately and I personally I haven't met any of the new folks but my parents haven't said there were any issues. They got the owners suite which is basically two units in one. They LOVE it.
I would recommend just not a great area of town. We were attracted to them because of the cost and it was affordable for my father in law.
Everyone is friendly and hospitable. For our budget it worked out good. Roomy apartments and they had plenty of things to do. Everyone there seemed happy to be there.
Numerous activities to be involved in and keep busy. Highly recommend Lone Star Living for retirement living.

Overall experience has been mostly positive. Quality of food offered needs more care and concern. Security protocols need more consistency and more monitored cameras. If those things are addressed it would instantly improve the overall value. Recent change in management seems to have received favorable reviews. Survey of residents with follow-up on items being addressed would go a long way to bridge noticeable gaps in them feeling valued. Good food and service with residents that had good information. Staff had good information also and were full of detail on the living conditions at Lone Star Living. We will be moving there in November.
