Get directionsDO NOT EVER COME HERE !!!! Came in for emergency dog ripped open his leg. His wound was wrapped antibiotics given blood work done $2400 ( up Front ) stayed over night. Then they had the audacity to tell me cost to fix leg was $12k and to amputate was $7900 WTF said they can put him down for $400 place wants your $ that's all if you can't pay they will gladly put him down.
This place was recommended by our vet so didn't plan on coming. My dog was sick and spent $1,100 on checkup, x-ray, blood work and meds. Very overpriced!! We actually checked some over the counter meds that were given to us on chewy.com and they were $30 cheaper online. They wanted to keep him over the weekend for $3,300 and that's not including what would be needed on Monday which they didn't know yet. I guess they think I have a money tree in my yard. The other thing that turned me off is they don't check your pet in fro... read more
Let me start off by emphatically telling you that if you have other options, any other options, DO NOT GO Here. I have been a dog owner for 50 years. I currently have 2 dogs. I, also, help raise money for pet causes so I am well aware of how this is supposed work when your dog is sick. Do not be FOOLED by their slick message on hold and words of concern. The former owner, Dr Dominick Marino who is giving the review on Yelp, no longer has skin in the game. This business was sold to a Private Equity firm. I left on vacation on... read more
I brought my dog here last night because I believed she had a fragment of a bone stuck in her throat, which she and I could not dislodge. They brought us into an examination room, where we initially saw a young lady who said she was a vet tech. She asked us what the issue was and we told her. Before leaving the examination room, she said that the dog would be seen shortly. Five minutes later, another young lady entered the room and asked the same question. She then said she needed to take the dog in the back to examin... read more
Dropped off our elderly dog who wears diapers to be boarded overnight as we had an event out of state. After waiting 35 minutes to pick up our dog, we had staff come out and tell us that they had issues with her diaper as she went to the bathroom in it and the feces dried to her skin and they had to rip it off along with her diaper. Leaving raw skin and irritation that needed to be shaved. In all six months of our dog wearing a diaper this has never happened, she had been cared for meticulously by us. What really happened... read more
Unfortunately, this facility could be top notch, if it weren't for the high cost and apparent greed where they know people will pay a great deal to get their pets well, as they are part of the family. I brought my feline to the facility two days after I brought it to my regular vet where she did a complete blood test on the animal. I thought LIVS might be able to better diagnose the problem and brought all the paperwork with me including the blood work. What did they do? The same blood test two days after my vet did the s... read more
I came the hospital at 7:30 to pick up my dog, who was just did bandage change early today and nothing else. I waited for more that 30 minutes but they said all doctors and nurses are saving life for another dog. I was so mad because when I arrived, that dog was not here. And I don't know why it takes so long to just bring my dog from inside. It seems like I don't have a life, I don't need to go home. They ask me to wait at least another 20 minutes. That is ridiculous.
I came here to write a review and laughed at their rating because it could not be more accurate. I guess I don't have to waste too much time guiding others to avoid this place. Money aside, timing aside, and location aside- the best interest of your pet is not on mind at this center. They take advantage of being an emergency center but I personally don't think they have the skill sets or care to take care of animals in need of critical attention. I cannot even put my experience into words. Again, money aside (which this ... read more
My min-pin had a cataract operation performed my Dr. Sapienza. The operation was successful because she was able to see, again. However, she developed chronic choking and severe respiratory problems.I also noticed a listlessness and loss of cognition in my dog.I took her to my vet, not Dr. Sapienza. My vet said she had a crushed trachea. She was put on medications. However, her respiratory distress grew worse. She was in pain and could not walk and had dark diarrhea. It was necessary to have my vet put her down. S. And... read more
Business response:
Hi Susan, we're so sorry for the loss of your min-pin. We appreciate you still taking the time to write a wonderful review about Dr. Sapienza during your time of grief. We're happy to hear he was able to give your fur baby her sight back. As far as a collapsed trachea, this is common in that breed. A collapsed trachea is rarely associated with a surgical procedure, so we're unsure where the common thread is with your pleasurable experience here at LIVS to deem a 1 star rating. Again, we're sending your our condolences.
