My father has been a resident at Lostock Lodge since April 2022, The care and genuine affection he receives is second to none. He is encouraged to be as independent as possible but receives help as and when needed in a very understanding way. All the team are incredibly helpful and friendly - they are Dad's extended family! I live in Portugal and the reassurance I get from knowing how well Dad is cared for is a great comfort. Mum was taken as a respite case originally then due to a change in circumstances she is now a permanent resident with dementia. The home has been amazing all the way. Staff can’t do enough to help. Due to my location, I am unable to visit as much as I’d like but the staff make sure I have regular updates, she is now engaged in activities which is brilliant to see. They have helped with other medical conditions making sure she has the right care from the GP. It’s lovely to see the pictures on social media of her enjoying hers... read more

Always a welcome when we come to the home. The home is always in an immaculate condition. The residents always look cared for and are kept clean. Senior care staff are always available to discuss any questions.

Overall the provision provides a good standard of care. Staff are attentive to individuals' needs and are caring towards the residents. On occasions the home does appear to be short-staffed, especially when a more needy resident takes precedence. Food is of a high standard with a good variety, and it's nice to see residents encouraged to sit at the table for their meals. Any concerns are acted upon by management and a response received in a timely manner.

Mum (94) moved into Lostock Lodge 4 months ago and settled quite quickly. She is well looked after and treated with kindness. The staff are friendly and cheerful, any requests to help mums wellbeing are addressed efficiently. They keep me informed of any issues about my mum.

My mum struggled to settle initially due to being fully independent prior to a stroke. Since residing at Lostock Lodge Mum’s mobility and overall health has improved significantly. Mum still has a level of independence and the family have peace of mind knowing Mum is well cared for and safe. The staff are always very welcoming and helpful.

Mum who has vascular dementia aged 94 is so well cared for, it gives us peace of mind. After a recent fall and visit to the hospital, the care staff do their best to keep her moving and as independent as possible. The attention to detail regarding her independence I cannot fault. The kindness shown by all the staff here is remarkable considering the challenges dementia brings. We as a family feel very supported.

It has taken a couple of years for me as a relative to feel listened to. My mum is unable to make her views clear and needs support in all areas of her care. I now feel she is very well looked after. The food is excellent and mum has put on weight. The wellbeing team are now active and tries and provide a wide range of activities. The staff know Mum’s needs and are so friendly and approachable. The staff at this care home are incredibly considerate and kind. Our Mum is not the easiest resident to deal with as her needs are complex. The home deals with her situation really well and it provides relief to myself and my sister as we know she is being cared for and is safe. There is a genuine endeavour to want to help Mum’s condition improve/settle and we are very grateful. We would be very stuck without Lostock Lodge.
