I can’t thank the staff at Lostock Lodge enough for all the care and understanding they have given to both my mother and myself. In these awful Covid times they have gone out of their way to keep in touch and put my mind at rest, knowing mother is getting the very best care possible. Luvs and hugs to all.

Just over a year ago after losing our mother, our father who suffers from Alzheimer’s, deteriorated and could not stay in his home nor did he want to. His needs were such that we could not keep him in a family environment and so painfully he was moved into a care home. Unfortunately, that care home disappointed in many ways and the decision was made to move dad somewhere else. The staff are all friendly, caring and attentive with a genuine interest in all the residents. The facilities are excellent and well thought out to mee the needs of the residents. Lostock Lodge Care Home has a family centred the atmosphere and we feel we have been included and welcomed into ensuring my mum can settle into her new home.

Our Father initially sought respite but we were surprised and comforted by how he responded to the care and carers here. Having established his reticence to enter a home stating he "was able to look after himself" and already feeling the family guilt of not being able to cope with him in a house environment with increasing Dementia issues, we anticipated some struggles on both sides. I am delighted with everything in relation to the care of my mum. All her needs are catered for, the home is excellent and the staff are so attentive. I can sleep soundly at night knowing that my mum is in safe hands.

Lostock Lodge staff are all very welcoming and friendly. I look after a gentleman who has been into Lostock Lodge for respite. I would give this home 10/10 and I would even live there myself! Thank you

Mum arrived in April 2019 full of hype as the home had been recommended. Sadly, after a good week or 2, it became apparent that the home is dominated by those sadly suffering Dementia. For mum who has physical issues, this was somewhat frustrating. The floor, as well, was mixed and made for a challenging stay. Staff excellent, food ok, facility new and nice. Not enough activities for the residents which only take place if money is raised.

We always wanted to care for Dad at home but realised we couldn't give him the time and the care he deserved, so after many tears and guilty moments decided to look for permanent care. I went to view Lostock Lodge and straight away felt it was the right place for Dad, it was warm, welcoming, spotlessly clean, but most importantly the staff were friendly and smiling! The staff and the standard of care my father receives are excellent. The staff are very caring and loving towards my father which is very comforting. The staff are always cheerful and willing to do anything to make Dad's life good and comfortable. It is a comfort to me that he is in 'safe hands'.
