Told server we were going to theater. Dinner arrived quickly, ample portions, all was good. Ambience lovely. We were looking forward to dessert. Server disappeared after food was delivered. Water never refilled, never asked if we wanted refills on drinks. 40 minutes later, we flagged down another server to find her. She reappeared & went to 3 other tables before coming to us. We asked for dessert menu, REMINDED her we were in a rush & would need the bill with dessert. Returned with menu 10 minutes later. Disappeared another ... read more
Arugula salad was highly over dressed and salmon slightly over cooked (I ordered medium rare.) My guests’ like Shepard pie. One guest ordered Burger but couldn’t sub greens for fries…only a vegetable. Odd when you serve entree salads too…but no side salad as option.
Drinks were good. Food was kind of flat, definitely not great value considering the prices. Ordered the steak tips medium rare, came out almost well done. The mussels were ok, but the broth was fairly bland. Ambience was good and service was okay, although not memorable.
Unfortunate dining experience. Picked this spot for a nice holiday dinner out. Menu looked good. Ambiance was lovely. Server was enthusiastic. We ordered drinks, apps, entrees. Saw other tables were offered bread but we were not. Wrong apps came out. They took them back to the kitchen saying they would fix it. Waited. Then entrees came out. Apps came out almost immediately after that. So much food and all the timing was wrong so it ruined the dining experience. Seemed no communication between front of house and kitchen. Overall Not impressed. Will never go back.
Our server was wonderfull. Food was mediocre. We chatted with couple next us. They ordered different meals, and they said food was.mediocre as well. Waited 25 minutes for drinks. We will not return.
We requested a quiet booth or table and they refused three options that sat empty the entire time we were there at a much noisier table with very uncomfortable low chairs. We had reserved several weeks in advance and still no attention to our request which we also made when we arrived.
Took 45 minutes for food to be served. I get that everyone is short staffed, but maybe limit bookings to allow for good, timely service?
We were at Lucie on a Thursday night for dinner before the symphony concert. We were brought to a tiny table in the corner of the room, when many tables were open and remained so throughout our dinner (our fault for not requesting another table). French onion soup and oysters from Maine were very good, but my pasta entree -- "carbonara" -- was absolutely terrible. The pasta was over-cooked and soggy, and tasted like it had been cooked in dishwater. It was cheerfully taken away and we were not charged for it -- but no visit f... read more
