Save yourself and your hair. I went in to get my hair dyed brown over a year ago and i was highly disappointed. I came out with black hair and uneven color although the manager tried to fix my hair which i appreciated but the damage was already done and i paid for a blowout which my stylist did not know how to blow dry at all, after my blowout my hair was frizzy tangled and stiff. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere where you get results worth paying for even if its more than what you had in mind to spend

I've been a color bar customer for a few years and until I recently I haven't had an issue. At my previous appointment, I was completely unhappy with what had been done to my hair as I gave a request to have all my grays covered/blended. The colorist did not do that and the store manager had to re-do her work the next day. All told, that was six+ hours of my time. I came in a while ago to get my hair dyed back to my natural color and specified I did not want black hair (I have pretty dark brown hair) especially cool black hair as it clashes with my skin tone. The lady didn't listen dyed my hair JET BLACK (not the color she asked was okay) and I left with my hair feeling dry and broken. I was in TEARS on the way to the car because I hated it so much. I could have sworn I previously left a 5 star review for this MR color bar, and was coming here to update it. I went a handful of times, and although it seemed tricky to get the color customized to match my natural shade, it seemed like it was working out well for a reasonable price. Sadly another bad rating but this time for the Woodland Hills location. I had previously gone to the location in Studio City and was treated very rude by one of the hairdressers and multiple times my blow dry was canceled. If I could do a could job blowdrying my hair myself I wouldn't be paying to have it done professionally but I have a medical condition that prevents me from being able to do it myself. Particularly one star for cleaningness of the salon . Furnishings look dirty , walls look dirty, there is about one inch of dust on the pipes hanging off the ceiling as well as the door for employees break room . Bathroom looks dingy and toilet dirty Dirty dirty dirty dirty super dirty

This location lack's consistency of employees. First time stylist was beyond perfect. The second visit was a nightmare. Everything was wrong from my appointment lost? To the level of education my colorist must of failed.

Booked my appointment online for my first visit to the color bar. Received email confirming price and discount for first time visit. Went to appointment and had consult with the colorist before she began applying to my hair. Midway through applying the color, she tells me she needs additional dye for my hair which will cost $15 more. At this point, my hair was half covered, and I had no other choice, but to agree to the additional charge. Such a terrible way to do business. I will not be back.

I canceled my membership after one year. The service is mediocre, and most staff didn't know how to color. The manager seems to be the only one who knows how to do the coloring, but she is always rushing. You will not get an attentive and professional service from this salon. They need to train their staff properly. They also always forget you even if they have a timer setup, so your hair would be overly treated for more than 45 minutes which is bad for your hair and scalp.
