The color looks amazing! It was so easy breezy... compared to the whole henna indigo ritual. I hope its safe in the long run. Time will tell. The color did give bit of tingling sensation while waiting but i hope the company will not add parabens to mask it ( after such reviews) !! I will color with Madison Reed again for sure till i see health issues( hope not). The staff at the salon was amazing! Thank you!!

I was superexcited to change up my hair, and walked by Madison Reed in the village, set up an appointment and I'm so thrilled! Although I didn't get the hair color I originally wanted, Bre was honest and told me that it wouldn't lift since my hair was already so dark. We proceeded with a hair treatment which left my hair feeling smooth, untangled, and like a fresh cut! Their customer service is absolutely outstanding! Only open for a month, I predict this place is going to be swamped when things open up! I tried Madison Reed products during the pandemic. No harmful chemicals...this product did right by my hair! I cannot tell you how excited it was to know that a color bar was open by the same company! I was able to get a same day appointment and it was not crowded, staff wearing masks as well as the 1 other customer in the place. Bree did a wonderful job on my roots. I've been to high end salons, mid range salons and everything in between. When Covid hit I decided to do my color myself and have been using Madison Reed ever since. I have been a loyal Madison Reed customer and have been to the salon several times before without any issues, which is why my experience tonight was especially frustrating and disappointing. When I arrived for my appointment, my hair was washed by Desi, who was wonderful and very pleasant. She directed me to the drying station and even let me know that if I needed another brush, I should let her know since the available brushes were either being used or had not yet been sanitized. I love the people there and ive been happy with my color. However it is NOT for African American curly hair ive come to realize. My hair after a color started coming out in clumps. No blench or anything just an all over color. I didnt think it was the dye at first since I was busy and stressed, until I went back the next time and it happened to my daughter's hair and my friend. So I realized whatever chemicals they use does not sit well with our hair.

I've been a customer for quite a few months and this is not about the staff or the service but it is about the management - the fact that they've been without air-conditioning in over 95 degree weather in Woodland Hills for over 6 weeks now!!! it's unheard of for a business. That probably makes a hell of a lot of money considering they have so many locations. I made an appt based on the excellent reviews noting they do color correction. There was no way to get in touch with a human to explain my situation and when we got there they said they couldn't do the color correction that we needed. That's fine, I totally respect them not taking on a project they can't handle, but the lack of being able to talk to a person should have been a warning sign. Don't waste your time here. Support a small business with care and concern for their clients.
