I made an online appointment to color my virgin grey hair with a si gle process blonde. I was told grey could be difficult, but she would try a test strip first. I told her i didnt want any grey,just all blonde.when she checked after the required time I was told it was blonding nicely so we agreed to continue. Since there aren't any mirrors,(which is weird)I could only go on her word.after almost 3 hrs.and $140.later I left with lighter grey hair. While there are competent hair colorists here, the actual place is a disaster. If you have an appointment at 11, expect to start at 11:45. Every time. No acknowledgment of the arbitrary way in which they take some customers and ignore others languishing in their seats. Canceling my membership. Would warn others to stay away.

I would give them -379 stars if I could. I asked for blonde and I got ginger! down go here they have no idea what they are doing. literally go anywhere else. I my hair is ruined and now I can't fight the ginger allegations.

I had my hair colored at Chestnut Hill, since I had read positive reviews. I asked to have my light brown/red/gold color matched. I ended up with VERY dark brown hair with a touch of red in it. It was shocking. The specialist did a second process to lighten it. Three hours later, I walked out with bright red hair. I am 72 years old. I look ridiculous. Two people laughed when they saw me. PLEASE READ- It's unfortunate that I feel compelled to write this review- There is a screaming lack of service at this company. Let me explain- You cannot request a specialist. When I made my appointment, I ask for the same colorist as my initial appointment and I was told ( by text - hours after my request ) that was not possible. Only if he was free and by chance, would I get him for my service. I arrived on time for my appt for a color & blow dry. Waited several minutes before anyone came to the front desk. We had gone over the color; she knew I wanted to go lighter (brown). All seem to be going fine until the person doing my hair had to leave, leaving only one employee there with 4 other ladies. At that point, everything seemed rushed, washing the color was rushed to try to accommodate the other women who all had color in their hair. 2 hours and 20 min later, the color was finally rinsed off. I tried them 4 times. They were super expensive and truly did not know "pretty" colors. This last visit was almost $400.00 and my hair looked like straw and my friends all agreed the color was terrible. They book too many people at once - try to upsell you and sell you their products, which I don't like but I did try them. I truly think this is a commission sales business but I will not ever go back. Finally learned my lesson! This review was intended for the Cumming, Ga. Location. I went to Madison Reed today for a 12:30 appointment, arriving about three minutes early. One employee was working on a client. She saw me, went in the back and came up to me and said her colleague was on break, could I come back in 25 minutes. I didn't mind. I went and grabbed a bite to eat. I returned and found the other employee at the check-in/checkout station in the front of the store where I was sitting. She was helping someone check out.
