Beware!!!! I went to Madison Reed because of its claims of being ammonia-free and implying their products are healthier for your hair. The 1st time I went to color my hair, clumps of hair continuously fell from my head while blow-drying. I approached the stylist and she gave me some lame excuse. I've been going to this location since it opened, as I signed up for their color subscription service (I am prematurely very gray and need my hair colored every other week). Quality of the color itself is very good, and service has mostly been good, but staff turnover has been incessant. Some of the staff have been excellent but there has been little to no corporate support. Talented people have left due to being overworked and having no help. I have visited this location 4 times, holding out hope that I was just encountering blips of bad service. But this place is chronically understaffed by poorly trained people. At the moment I am sitting with color in my hair that should have been washed out 45 minutes ago, but all the staff disappeared into the back room and have yet to reappear, leaving me and another customer alone. I am not making this up.

The staff lacks in any customer service skills and come off as rude to their clientele due to the fact that they are understaffed. The company should stick to its online model and spare the customers the abuse. This location is also difficult to locate due to construction.

Worst hair color I've ever gotten. Uneven highlights, then a toner which was too dark...so most of my hair is black, with a few blond streaks...looks awful!

Rude staff that only cares about their own convenience, not the customer. They will send you away if you are late but expect you to wait on them if they are late.

The colorist tore at my hair because it was knotted. I had no idea that would happen, other salons brush it first or something. It's also too dark. I won't be back.

While I like the product and had a good experience in the past, the service is getting noticeably worse at this location. Today was my 3rd visit and all new faces (supervisor, colorist). Employees are changing too fast, impossible to "find" your colorist. My forehead was severely stained (this should've been caught and corrected before letting me go).
