I purchased the product online, not at this store. Hair falling out in clumps. Dye continues to bleed in shower 5 weeks later. Used once and will never use again. Google and research before using. There was also a class action law suit.

bro my hair looks TERRIBLE- the lady was sweet but it was a terrible job and oh my god it's the worst thing i've ever gotten. i hadn't seen it in its entirety until i got home because it didn't dry yet, but my hair looks so bad and i dont know when i'm going to be able to dye it back to something that looks at least a little presentable.

I'm considering going to someone new for my hair color. I decided to go to Madison Reed for a consultation. I called to set one up. I explained to the young woman who answered that I'd had a disastrous hair color experience and was thinking of changing colorists, and would like a consultation. She told me I could just drop in or I could leave my phone number and she'd ask a colorist to call me and I COULD HAVE THE CONSULTATION OVER THE PHONE. i was a few minutes late to my appointment due to traffic. i called to give a heads up 20 minutes before my appointment start time - no one picks up the phone. i call again 5 minutes before my appointment start time - no answer. i walk in 11 minutes after my appointment start time - and TERRY says he can't do my hair - there is a 10 minute grace period. he is telling me this 1 minute after the grace period. seriously? i drove 30 minutes to get there - pick up the phone and let me know not to come in. he was terse, unaccommod... read more

Very unprofessional experience. I made an appointment for roots coloring at the Hayes Valley site. Once there, the colorist told me that I had a lot of white hair and that I would have to pay for a full head color service and I agreed to. Someone took photos of my back head hair before and after coloring. Afterwards, I went home and I noticed that my back is still full of white hair. I look and the photos in my profile that they took. The customer service experience I had with Madison Reed was very disappointing - it was impossible to get anyone live to get a return authorization arranged. I left numerous voice mails with their customer service and nobody ever called back. I ended up with $160 of hair color products that I could not use because the color was wrong. Very disappointing.

I have not received a call back from Colleen G. As she so "helpfully" suggested I do in her response to my review...that was three days ago and nothing...again this soo does not surprise me...such a horrific experience...

Huge space and it's empty for a reason. They just don't understand...hair. And the professionalism here is subpar. I wouldn't go here even if it was the last option left before my wedding and all my greys had come in.

Picked up a kit to try coloring my hair at home. Just opened up my bag to look at instructions so I know what to do tomorrow morning and there were two MAJOR PROBLEMS: (1) the second kit that was recommended because I have long hair is USED! Tube of color was squeezed out to almost empty and the color activator bottle top was loose. (2) there are no instructions in the box or in my bag. What the heck?
