I've been a customer of Madison reed since 2019 and visit this salon at least once a month. Lately I've noticed all their appointments are running late - I regularly don't get helped until 20 min after my appointment time. The lateness isn't a huge deal if the quality of service is good, but today was a disaster. I came in for my roots and a toning glaze to take out the red brassy tones at the ends of my brunette hair. Booked an appt for my 16 yr old daughter to get highlights (she got highlights at this location right before school started last year). Upon arriving, was told they don't do minors due to liability, insinuated I was lying about the appointment the previous year and took no responsibility for my ability to book an appointment they wouldn't honor "because someone else runs the website." They offered up giving me the highlights instead (? No.) and then said they could waive our last minute cancellation fee (??!!). Ridiculous.

Wow, I was a consistent client until today. I had an appointment at 3:00 pm and it's a drive to get there from my house. I was told my appointment was canceled due to being shortstaffed and somebody should have called and texted - nobody contacted me. In addition to this there was no apology, nothing. I was only asked if I would like to reschedule and that was a no. The lack of professionalism is surprising. They lost a client today.

My hair fell out!!! Hi community! I wouldn't even give this place a star except for the fact that upper management was there via phone to try to put me at ease by sending me products to fix my ruined damaged hair...first off I drove over the bridge to go into city for this experience and was told I had no appointment after getting several confirmation's. Never again. I just got my very gray roots done at the Madison Reed salon for the first time. A few months ago I got an at home kit and it didn't even fully cover my grays. I assumed I didn't leave it on long enough so I thought I would let them do it and it would turn out better because I did like the color that was recommended to me when I got it in the store. Started about 20 min late. Hair dry person had an attitude towards me, I can only guess was associated to my age. I love the product, but this is the second bad experience at this location. I'll try Marin and if that isn't good, I'll just have to do it myself - which is a total bummer.

Could not be less satisfied. Made an appointment for my 16 yo daughter to get a balayage only to find out after we arrived that "due to liability concerns", Madison Reed doesn't do hair coloring on minors.
