Great experience! I'd been to other location with satisfactory results, just not "mind blowing" But because I knew I could reasonably count on a satisfactory experience after 4 previous appts, I went again, but this time a different location strictly because I had business on other side of town same day. Pros: Modern salon, products and a team that specializes in hair color. Easy to get appointments every day, a big plus. Convenient location in Rice Village. Cons: Developing a relationship with an individual stylist who knows you and your hair is not encouraged. Unable to call the salon directly or request a stylist. This was my first time to Madison Reed. I will be back, but I am giving them 3 stars because they did not clean up the color on my neck. The whole back of my neck is dark. Also, I don't think they got all the color out of my hair because when I was drying my hair color kept getting on my face. They are totally short staffed so I get that they are trying to move through each customer but there where only 2 customers in there when they where washing my hair. Had a really great experience here. It was my first time visiting the color bar and I found it to be very welcoming and streamlined. I needed my roots retouched and because I have very dark hair I do not like wasting my money on a blow dry when I will be having some dye stain around my face. I have been to some very high end salons and I thought with the products and dye cleansers that are offered to you after the shampoo was so much worth while.
