Bare minimum service - and that's being generous. Color quality, variety of colors, and even shampooing is absolutely lacking. I was left with hair color on my skin and had to clean up myself. Color was slapped on. There are plenty of salons in Houston that will just do color, root touchups, etc. for the same pricing, but the customer service and the product quality is outstanding in comparison.

Confusing experience. Felt like a DYI, assembly line and cattle call. Walked in and someone at the door asked if I had an appt. I said yes, and she pointed to what looks like a bar and said sit wherever you like (there was only 1 unoccupied chair). I sat and waited as I watched an employee wash a bowl and dye brush with ONLY WATER! Poor customer service, confusing experience, hardly cheaper than regular salons where people are nice to you. My review dates back to July 2022, but I see that it's still the same (or worse) so wanted to add my experience in hopes of warning others. I gave this place (Rice Village location) so many chances. Employees (mainly 2 girls) seem disgruntled. I get a glare when I walk in. I have to interrupt, after waiting a while, to ask for service past my appointment time. One time I came in, they just looked at me and then walked to the break room. After a while, I had to go back there and asked for someone to start my service. I learned to start my own timer so that the dye doesn't stay too long. I will never use this salon. They left me in the chair for a long time without checking my hair. Needless to say I lost lots of hair in the process. I was told that this is normal for highlights. My hair tech also left for the day during my appointment without saying a word to me about leaving. Extremely unprofessional and not what I expected from a salon like MR in Rice Village. hair washing has been a horrible experience each and every time I go to madison reed it's so painful so much hair pulling and rough handling. Even when telling staff to be gentle it's still a terrible experience.

Although the staff was really nice and welcoming. The result of this was very disappointing. I am going to box dye my hair the way it was because I am so disappointed.

I was surprised at how fast it was to highlight my whole head of hair. When done right it takes multiple hours. The result was a lot more brassy than I wished and does not blend well. There is a visible line half way down showing exactly where the color started and where it ended. I requested a full refund and I will not be going back there to get it fixed either. Huge regret!!!

Not sure who was responsible for what . one person greets you another person looks at your hair then another person colors your hair. Are you happy with you color ... no it's too dark ... well it looks great . I thought the brand was good but that salon terrible. not going back
