Nowhere in the online appointment booking do they indicate that they don't take under 18 appointments. Booked this for my daughter weeks in advance and found out when we arrived that they wouldn't color her hair because she's 15. Please update your sign up process to clearly indicate that.

I booked my appointment at Madison Reed Color bar Sam Ramon location for 3:15 PM. I called them that I was running late. I showed up at 3:22 (7mins) late. They checked me in and have me wait for 20 mins and said "you will have to go because you are 20 mins late". Seriously? Why not tell me when I checked in? Why yo have me wait for 20 mins? Very disappointed with jet black colored on my hair.. you hair specialists are not Trained ones to do their job and you guys don't care about it. I will have to spend 400 to correct now . Do not recommend this place to anyone . Not worth it Pooja Buti

I went in to get a root touch up and partial highlights. It took about 2 hours. When the young lady was done, my hair looked exactly the same as when I walked in (but more damaged). I wasn't happy especially cause you could still see my grays. The receptionist said she'd book me for a manager chair (as I understood a manager would be assisting me or making the correction). BUYER BEWARE! I'm posting a review after 2 consecutive nightmare appointments at this San Ramon location. 12/16/2022 summary shared with Madison Reed customer service about my appointment for roots-only coloring: 1- The stylist almost used an old color. 2- The stylist roughly combed through my hair and PAINFULLY RAKED OVER BOTH OF MY EARS & RESPONDED DEFENSIVELY about it being an accident. 3- The stylist heavily brushed dye past my hairline, which LEFT A DARK & OBVIOUS STAIN AROUND MY FACE THAT WAS NOT EASILY REMOVED, EVE... read more

Color turned out beautifully, especially the roots, which is what I was concerned about. The service was not recommendable. Color dripped onto my smock and was left there till after rinsing off. When I returned to my car after blowout and styling I noticed my ear was full of hair color. It was a dark color so very noticeable. My ear was burning after wiping off with tissue since ut was almost 2 hours now. Not sure how no one noticed that.

I called to cancel my appointment said no problem they didn't and they charged me anyway I want my money back for nothing please.

I had a good experience but unfortunately will not be returning as I have learned they have a class action against them. First- my stylist said they offer people the ability to dry their own hair so they can get people in and out faster. My stylist was working on my hair and another women's hair. She said, after taking 15-20 minutes putting the color in my hair that she was going to leave it on for 30 minutes. I immediately said that was too long and she was going to fry my hair.
