I wanted to try doing my own root touch up, but didn't want to mess up either. I tried using their online color match wizard, but was not confident about my choice. So I went into the store to get an in-person color consultation (free). The place was pretty busy, but I only waited about 20 minutes. I use to get my hair colored at a salon every 7 weeks but I don't go out as much so I got comfortable with my gray hair. Today, I called Madison Reed and scheduled an appointment for today at 5:30 pm. I got there and was seen promptly. The stylist gave me 3 hair color options to choose from that were closest to my natural hair color. I picked Desolo brown. Root touch ups are $60. This is my kind of place. Quick and easy. They matched my color I went over what I was looking for and how my grays are resistant so she matched my color to a dye that would have good coverage. With that it was applied, got a massage with my hair wash and I blow dried my own hair which I love to do. You can still pay for them to do it. Count me in on a customer going forward.

I think it's a great concept idea for us frugal wise ladies to get a color to keep things vibrant .... Shannon in San Ramon was so great w her professional touch and her lively personality... singing and great conversation. Genuine lady If I had to say anything needed, I'd say, receptionist to be always there (position) and air conditioning- turn up higher.

I had my roots colored for the first time at Madison Reed in San Ramon. It was easy and affordable. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I love the way my hair turned out! I'll be back for sure and would highly recommend this place!

Love love love this location to the point of getting a root membership here. All the ladies are absolutely amazing but specifically Mercedes and Naomi are absolutely amazing. I happen to stop by for one of my biweekly appointments and Naomi was there and I noticed that the place was especially lively with positive energy. She's so responsive and knowledgeable and inviting that I noticed that any new clients walking in wanted to make an appointment. This location really needs her energy. My first appointment for the unlimited roots package was last week. This salon exceeded my expectations. Every single employee/stylist was friendly, welcoming and professional. I was updated every step of the way. I was treated like a valued client. I also had to change my next appointment a few times this week and each request was met with an attitude of accommodation and friendliness.
