Came in here on Sunday morning after they opened. Had a few questions and wanted to speak with someone there about the product. Walked in with my husband. There was one person working on someone's hair. She did see us walk in as we made eye contact. No acknowledgement whatsoever, tried using the screen they had to find my shade but it wasn't working. DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP!! If I could give this place negative stars I would. I came for my appointment and walked into the salon. The "manager" Sienna was just standing there trying to upsell another customer. She didn't even acknowledge when I came in or ask what I was there for. I got in at 10:40. By 10:46, she finally manages to ask for my name only to tell me I missed the 10 minute grace period (my appt was at 10:30). I totally love the concept and did subscribe to a monthly plan. My first experience was much better the first time than the second. As other reviewers have stated, the Torrance location was super behind yesterday. Roots took 2 hours. Kind of Crazy. Cole and the other colorists are great; however, the assistant has not seemed how to seamlessly check you in or out. I thought I'd treat myself and try this salon out. Ugh! The photos speak for themselves!!! I wanted highlights on my brown hair. No ash!! This is what I got! They let me go and asked if I wanted to come back the next day..... no way would I let them touch my hair again. And to think they charge $175 for this!!!!

No frills. I left a biting, two star review for the Madison Reed in Long Beach, my first experience with this odd experiment of a "color bar." I only came in once and requested balayage on top of my previous balayage. I actually got foil highlights. The problem was there were two places where the foil was ridiculously noticeable. They offer a free fix so it was no problem to re-book a second session a couple of days later, I just hoped she could feather out the obvious foils and then it would be fine. As much as I like the product quality, this location is consistently poorly managed. The bathrooms oftentimes have no soap, no toilet seat covers, barely a roll of toilet paper and are super dirty. The floors have hair and garbage on it. They've been out of cotton a bunch of times. They're always out of something or another. I even have come as the first client of the day and noticed the bathrooms and place in this condition so it tells me that they definitely don't clean the salon or stock it regularly. GI've used Madison - Reed for a long time. I don't, however, use their salon. I do buy the home kit from this salon. I do not understand why I need to play 20 questions with them every time. The kit I just bought will be my last. I have been using Venizia for, at least, two years. I don't know WHAT got into this tube but, it's not Venizia. Venezia is a brown, a darker brown, but brown.
