Amazing experience and results! I ran into a snafu when I arrived for my appointment. The stylist that was supposed to serve me was deep into an appointment that was going to take much longer (double booked?). I asked when I should come back, and they said they would check with their manager, and then someone else ended up servicing me with not much delay overall. Phew! I'm not one to leave reviews but do appreciate those who do. With that, I felt it was time. I had my first visit to Madison Reed yesterday. Original appt was for the Long Beach location but it was auto-cancelled at 10pm Monday night. Wasn't pleased with that and almost decided MR wasn't for me. Called customer service and they were extremely helpful getting me a same day appt in Torrance. I arrived to a nice greeting and a short wait till I was in my chair. I visited this salon for the first time today. Mari listened to what I wanted and gave me a nice cut and blow dry. Reasonable $ for what was long hair to shoulder length. I'm thinking about her recommendation for coloring the grey. I'll be back!

I read many of the reviews here and was a little hesitant to try this place out. I went yesterday and had Patrick color my hair. He was VERY professional, this place is clean! He did the consult and we chose the best color for my hair. I got a root touch up with the extra gloss. Hair processed then I had it washed (I did not get her name), she did a thorough job and took her time. I also added on the gloss mask (can't get enough shine). Complaint is for the company not the girls in the store. They do not tell you that your credit expires despite them charging your card. I was pregnant and didn't get to the salon in time. Customer service was terrible, hard to get a human on the phone and when I did she was very rude. I never got my money back.

I like that I can get an appointment quickly since my usual hairstylist often has a lot of booked appts. and it can take a few days before I can get in. The color that I've had done the past two times, my only times here, have been as I've asked. As much as I appreciate the convenience and the hair color, I have a few suggestions regarding customer care. Service was poor; I went here 3 times and all three times service was bad; the colorist was 20 min late and rude. And another time covered my entire forehead with color and kept chatting with another client, not paying attention to coloring my hair. I go to Redondo Madison Reed now and get much better service there.

Great service from Alexus and Mary Jo, BUT CORPORATE - please fix the store check in that hasn't worked in months now. Also, Christmas music before Thanksgiving, really? Why rush things? I think the wash basin clogged drain may have been fixed. Maybe. Ok, bye.
