I felt the need to post this to tell everyone my experience at Maggie McFlys in Albany tonight. Tonight was the first time my friends and I have eaten out since the pandemic started. One of the people in my party ordered a wedge salad, after eating half of the salad, this was tucked away underneath the entire salad. What a bummer! I've been ordering takeout occasionally during COVID times to support food businesses. I decided to try out this restaurant because the menu was so diverse! I would say it's comparable to Cheesecake Factory. I put in a dinner order and selected a few items. Fast forward... Had lunch today, March 12, 2020. We started with appetizer coconut shrimp. the shrimp was mostly coating and small. the coconut sauce was thin and runny. I ordered lamb gyro and my husband ordered steak and chicken fajita the lamb gyro was presented nicely but the lamb was very small rectangle thin pieces although tender very dry. This is my 4th visit. I returned cause I liked it. Tonight was another story. Service was so poor that I watched people leave for not being greeted at a table in a timely fashion. Service was as poor fo me. My greeting was delayed, drinks slow to come, appetizer wrong. When brought to the go correct it. She proceeded to the register and do other chores while I was left sitting staring at her as she did NOT attempt to correct the order. At that point, enough is enough- walked out. Too bad.

I have been there twice in the last month and the first time was great, our bartender James was very friendly and attentive. Food was okay, pretty much what you'd expect from a chain restaurant. The second time was last night, the food was decent, however, the service was horrible. It started out with our bartender pouring prosecco in a white wine glass, I didn't care about that. Prices are quite high for the portions and what is included. Shrimp scallop alla vodka came with 3 shrimp and tiny pieces of scallop in the entire dish for $23. The bread sticks were flavorless, which basically was par for the course for the entire meal. Mediocre at best. The waitress was, however, very friendly and cheerful. Really disappointed in what we received based on the looks of the menu.

This would've been a good review here. I really wanted it to be. The atmosphere was nice the server we had although she was training was wonderful. Even my friends chicken salad sandwich was great! But then I looked to my buffalo chicken sandwich (which is a fairly basic item) the piece of check was a flat sad looking slab about 3 inches on each side to big for the bun. I was in the twilight zone eating here. Both drinks I had were messed up the same way, the margarita pizza had cilantro and I still don't know what type of salad dressing they gave our table. We even got a cocktail but no alcohol in it...It was highly confusing that mistake after mistake came out. So not worth what we paid and we paid for every mistake. I got a good laugh but wouldn't go back.

Went with a party of 6 around 730pm. The place was packed. We had called ahead for reservations so it was very quick seating. Our waiter was nice. They had a server that brought the drinks to the table and also a server bringing out the food. I felt like they were well staffed but kept messing up little things that typically may go unnoticed.
