My wife has Celiac Disease and we have been eating at Maggie McFly's Albany store in Crossgates Mall since it opened because of her dietary restrictions.  We have always enjoyed our meals and the pleasant service but our most recent compelled us to write this as this has all changed. OK food OK service. More food. Extensive menu, with almost too many choices. Server wasn't quite sure of a lot of the things on the menu when questions were asked. For example we had someone who is gluten-free, we had some general questions about the drinks and a couple of meals. Meals looked good when they arrived. This place really went downhills. I wanted to give this place one more try so I went with my mom on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated in a round booth by the bar for 20 mins and nobody came by to ask us what we wanted to drink, and out of no where the host came to us and asked us to sit somewhere else. She was nice tho. Then we were seated all the way in the back by the windows for another 10 mins. This restaurant could not care any less about their customers!!! I ordered a salmon salad, a baked potato, and carrot cake to be delivered. I received a salmon on mashed potatoes, salad dressing, NO salad, a baked potato and NO carrot cake - I also selected the menu option to receive silverware as I am in a HOTEL and indicated this, and NO silverware was included. UGH!!!!! DON'T ORDER DELIVERY FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I came here to get gluten free, and they ended up giving me gluten and the same thing happened to my celiac friend. I do NOT suggest going here if you are gluten free. :(

We have dedicated gluten-free fryers and workspaces to ensure cross contamination does not occur. Servers should be indicating the allergy on the order that is rung in and the manager should be double-checking the item before it is sent out to verify the allergy is properly addressed. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT go here!! We went to the bar here tonight and left because there was no joke mice running around the bar! Not only was there mice but they looked deformed and were missing patches of hair! I took a video but I can not post it on here due to language. With all the bars in Albany save yourself a hospital trip and go anywhere else!

It pains me to write this review, as I've liked this place since it opened here in Albany. However, this was one of the worst dining experiences that I've ever had. It's a Saturday night and we arrive at 8:30pm after a movie. We sit at the bar. The menus we're sticky. It took 10 minutes to order a drink...and there were 4 people working the bar area. We get our drinks and one is absolutely horrible. After some time we are asked what we would like to order. We order apps only. It took 20 minutes to get apps. The steak wasn't... read more

Do not got there - ever. I have tried take out orders there twice. I blame myself for giving them a second chance. I showed up for my take out order. They received the order but did not place the order. Who does this? They waited for me to arrive to actually submit my order, even though they had it. People place. Take out order and expect it to be ready to be picked up. They told me it would be 20 minutes - just enough time to order a drink and wait at the bar. I did not fall for this. We had to ask the waiter to serve us after like 20 minutes of sitting with no drinks or anything. The waiter looked confused and they had to go talk to the host who told them that we were one of their tables. There were only 2 other parties seated so it was odd that they got confused. The food was fine but nothing crazy. It tasted like food that was probably pre-made and frozen beforehand or something. Not terrible, but with the combination of poor service and mediocre food I don't think I'll be back.
