We had a very bad experience. My niece made a reservation and even payed a deposit for a party of 25 arriving on a Friday night. She did this weeks in advance. When we arrived, we were told we'd be seated in two different sections on OPPOSITE sides of the restaurant because they can't overwhelm the server. SMH. They could have planned much better than that! Had they planned properly for the event, they could have sat us at individual tables and different booths, BUT at least near each other, and simply used multiple servers.... read more

So we're in from out of town and the local owner in VA Beach recommended we eat at Maggie McFly''s. Well to say we were sadly disappointed is an understatement. They have such an expansive menu, I figured they wouldn't be great at any of them, and was sorry to be right. My 'grass feed' burger was not very good, doesn't seem like the typical grass feed beef products I've had elsewhere. I arrived at the restaurant last night at 8:55pm. When I went up to counter it took someone about 5 minutes to come up to me and the restaurant was empty. This man with a toothpick in his mouth came up to the counter without saying a word and did not even look at me. He started playing with the menus so I asked what time they closed and he said the kitchen closed in 5 minutes while looking at his watch and never looked at me at all. To be fair the 2 star rating isn't reflective of the food and service. My meal came out with a blonde hair in it however up to that point things were great. The problem I have is that the manager never addressed it with me or my server. Obviously we weren't a top concern

Maggie McFly's Brain Solito Rapheal (my Service Dog) and I just had a terrible experience at Maggie McFly's Lynnhaven Mall Virginia Beach. First some background information. I had a Stroke back on May 19th. That's why I haven't been out for a while. My friends wanted to go to Maggie McFly's. So I said ok. I have been in this restaurant several times over the past few years with Rapheal. We have never had a problem. Tonight was a completely different story. Only one visit Maggie's...but it was frustrating. The coconut shrimp dinner was a children's meal on the adult menu. Six smallish shrimp that were seriously over cooked. The veggies taste exactly like the microwave in bag veggies you get from the freezer section of the grocery store. Edible...far from a dining out experience. Asiago mashed was good to go and the only reason for a second star. The Blue Moon was great, but...I ordered a 23oz and I am fairly certain my pour was closer to a pint. The food was great and so was the atmosphere However when the waitress left the table full of dirty dishes and I said Wanna bring me a bus tub and I'll clear the table... she actually did and stood there while I cleaned the table ....God bless and good luck ... you must be kidding me ... Zero excuse for that kind of service... find a new job ... Shame on all of you

Placed an order Togo. Let's start off with the phone line. I had to call three times just to get through. Once someone the server on the line was rushing me to place my order. At the end when normally they tell you the total of the order, she hung the phone up. Tried to call back to get the total but the line just continued to ring. Now the interesting part. Disgusting costumer service. Christine the AGM has a nasty attitude. It's her way or the highway. Bryan GM was friendly but did nothing about my issue. The dish I ordered to take out for my birthday (The shellfish pot) had no lobster. And the lobster macaroni and cheese was disappointing. I called and asked if I can bring the food back and get it replaced with crab cakes but Christine only wanted to refund me $7 to take the lobster off because I had none, and the dish was almost $37.
