Signed up under a maintenance agreement last year but when I never heard from them, I called to find out when exactly I'd be seeing them. Instead of them coming each season (every 6 months) I was strung along to wait 9 months. By that time, my nearly 20-yo unit had caught fire, burned the circuitry board, melted capacitors, wiring, and needed replacing. Worst experience ever. Lets just say that I'll never use Maki again. I called another company. They came out the nex't day and took care of the problem for about half the Maki price. They have a customer for life. Being born and raised in Auburn I get asked from time to time who I would recommed for heating and air service. It won't be Maki. And I plan on spreading the word!!
Macki installed my heat and a/c unit and they where great people that did a great job. However their incessant phone calls wanting to do maintenance on our system has worn me out. I''m a retired master technician and know this carrier unit does not need the service they're selling us. I asked them when they did service last time to clean the condenser of leaves and dog hair by blowing it out with air pressure. Instead the tech took a garden hose to the condenser and washed it, (wrong) . He made a wet mess of the electrical... read more

We apologize for calling too often. The manufacturers do require proof of maintenance for your warranty You’re welcome to have any licensed contractor do it and provide you receipts. As far as the hose, we do this to unclog any debris and leaves from the coil. It’s perfectly safe and recommend by the equipment manufacturers. The unit sits outdoors in the rain. 100% ok and safe. Made an appointment for an estimate for a repair over the weekend. The appointment window was 2:00-4:00pm. I was notified by phone at 1:57pm that they needed to cancel my appointment. I had taken the afternoon off of work to be here for the appointment window. I appreciate the phone call (hence the two stars rather than one) but more notice would have been great. Will be going with another company for the repair.

Last year they did a tune up; this year it broke. Hot summer days and my warranty guys are booked until Saturday. Cannot understand why you have to do some mediocre job on a premium system. I see all the coils inside are dirty and God knows what else broke in it may be after your tuneup ? Will be knowing this Saturday I suppose. Too bad.

Spoke to them about coming to do a diagnostic and I was too far away. So that's fine I get it but she calls back at 8:15pm. I wake up for work at 3:30am for work so a little unprofessional and unappreciated.

I am so incredibly disgusted by this customer service!!!! We have purchased 2 air conditioners from this company! We have been loyal for 30 years with their maintenance program. Today they installed a new air conditioning unit and and we have lost power in half of the house. There is no outage anywhere. We called Maki and they wouldn't send anyone out to fix the problem and hung up on my 77 year old mother. She had to call an electrician to come out to help. UPDATE!!! The issue was resolved within 2 hours of the call coming in. It’s an electrical issue in the existing panel and Maki paid to send an electrician out to fix at 9pm tonight, within 2 hours of the initial call. Please speak to your mother for the correct information.
Have to say i feel bent the F over ! 30.00 parts cost 170.00 each what prcentage is that? Love amazon, really 170 $ ! I know u have to make $ but really thats a bit greedy dont ya think? . Servace tech were awsome , dont think the the owner deserves them. Good job guy, but you should be better at checking the system diagnosis before leaving the job to make sure the system is running properly! One star for lack of a lower rating got swindled and cheated. Over priced. Refrigerant over twice the price service call over twice the price leak located 3 times the price...stay away.
