I called Maki Air because my air conditioning was not working. The technician arrived 45 minutes after the window of time to expect him ended. He worked replacing 3 parts none of which resolved the issue. I was told I needed a new unit and that Mike would call me Monday morning. He was very apologetic. Monday came and no one called. No one ever called. I called another company and he found 2 of the wires that run the Compressor were burned through and not even connected! Charlene is absolutely correct...we goofed and we are so sorry. After many service calls that day, a Friday, our technician arrived after 5, when Charlene was given a window of 2-5. He completely cleaned around the unit to start work on it. He then changed the plugged filter and spent 2 hours working on the problem, but totally missed the burnt wires. He also forgot to contact the office as is our policy, to let us know that we needed to call Charlene back on Monday. In his defense he did work on equipment that is 28 yrs old... read more

Had them out on Friday. The tech installed the wrong motor ( we have a variety of motors to choose from), didn't replace the capacitor and bent the fan blade to hell trying to get the blade off the shaft. The tech obviously didn't have the correct tools. Then billed us for $273.00 for 1.25 hours of labor only. (We supplied the parts). That works out to $195.00/ hour. This company recently was suspended from American Home Shield Warranty for their failure to complete a job that they diagnosed and received approval for. MAKI's claim was that they were not going to make much money on the repair. Given the financial climate right now I cannot believe anyone would turn away business. The unfortunate part of this is we are now day 4 without AC with the weather reaching above 100 degrees. This person is a tenant who should direct his anger at their landlord for not getting the AC fixed in a timely manner. It is the landlord who chose not to use us, so we could not do the repairs that were recommended. Maki has never been suspended from any program ever...so this is a complete fabrication by this tenant. Please do your own investigation and check our A+ rating with the BBB and other consumer organizations.
