I wanted to wait until we experienced both cold and hot weather to write a review. Now that we have experienced our first 90 degree day, I can say with confidence that the replacement system installed by Maki is performing exceptionally. We had an attic fan and whole house fan installed with our HVAC replacement system, and I am extremely satisfied with the difference these two items make. I am so incredibly disgusted by this customer service!!!! We have purchased 2 air conditioners from this company! We have been loyal for 30 years with their maintenance program. Today they installed a new air conditioning unit and and we have lost power in half of the house. There is no outage anywhere. We called Maki and they wouldn't send anyone out to fix the problem and hung up on my 77 year old mother. She had to call an electrician to come out to help. UPDATE!!! The issue was resolved within 2 hours of the call coming in. It’s an electrical issue in the existing panel and Maki paid to send an electrician out to fix at 9pm tonight, within 2 hours of the initial call. Please speak to your mother for the correct information.
I'm making this review at the request of Maki service technician Brent. Our reason for calling Maki: Our heater ceased heating on a cold morning. It seemed to work normally, but no heat. I called Maki because they had satisfactorily fixed our AC some years ago. The lady at Maki was polite and helpful, and she arranged for Brent to come to our house in about 2 hours. What a fantastic company! I was visiting my dad in North Auburn yesterday when his elderly neighbor reported her heat was not working. The power went out the night before and she had spent the night with a friend. It was 41 degrees in her house and snow was predicted for the afternoon. I love this company. They were so helpful a few months ago when I purchased my new system from them. My bills went down over $50 a month. Wish I had done it long ago. Cheaper and much quieter. Don't procrastinate like me. Well, with the cold weather we were admiring the rain when we noticed condensation coming up from under our deck where the unit is located. I have been doing business with Maki for many years. They installed a new HVAC system for us 13 years ago and have been maintaining it ever since. Their technicians are always on time, knowledgeable, courteous, and informative about what's going on with the system. Recently Brent did the Winter service on the system. He was all of the things I have just described. He didn't try to sell me things I didn't need and was very honest about the condition of my unit. I just experienced The Best Service with this company. I called yesterday with some concerns, and Brent was dispatched this morning. They called me first, he was here in minutes and thoroughly checked the furnace and inspected the ducts. When he completed the inspection, we sat down, he explained what he found and even showed me photos. I would like to compliment MAKI for their response to our failed air conditioning. We have been a customer of MAKI for years and when our air conditioner stopped working last weekend my wife called MAKI to have someone come out and talk to us about replacing our unit. Patrick came out next day and explained our options. We told him which unit we wanted. He called the office and they rearranged their schedule to come out the next day to install the unit.
