My 68 year-old father broke his hip and stayed at McKinley for one week. As a nurse, I am fairly critical of skilled nursing centers and used Yelp to make my decision to send him to McKinley. I am glad we did. The staff was very attentive, frequently stopped by his room to ask if he needed anything, and never appeared to be inconvenienced by requests. I'm a patient here and I love the staff. Bedside commade is little high for me for my short little legs the equipment is for tall patient . Misbah , dsd is wonderful she always come to see me and take care of my needs i love her. Rhodra, NP is so nice and always follows up with me when I need it. Tinas , kalie, Josette, Taryn CNA are great and John, Jackie, Mark, Shienna are a great staff. Kelanie, nurse is kind to me and always on time with my pain medication. Well, where can I begin. I was discharged tonight after spending three weeks there after a total knee replacemrnt. I'm so fortunate to have been placed at this facility. The treatment I received from physical and occupational therapy was phenomenal. I really appreciated all the professionalism, encouragement, and expertise that made my stay there pleasurable and eager to look forward to my road to recovery. As part of the non profit group I'm a part of we visit nursing homes frequently. We distribute blankets and other supplies. I must say the customer service at this place rivals hotels. It's such a cute place too located in a hipster vibe neighborhood nestled among the tall trees of Sacramento. I didn't pick up on any smells. Last weekend a few of our members were in town for a conference. We stopped by and visited some our members from our former leadership network. I was pleasantly impressed with the customer service. We were greeted and immediately helped on a Sunday which is challenging in a nursing home based on my travels. I noticed a lot of visitors and other church members here. The staff seemed attentive to my needs and I really appreciated the rehab I had. The rehab team and nurses addressed my needs the best they could. It's not a fine hotel but from the other places I've toured I would give this my thumbs up. I was there for almost a month. It took a few days to get everything dialed in with meds and to just understand the day to day routine, but once that was figured out all went smooth. Reading some of the reviews here, I cant help but add my voice to the conversation about this facility. I can honestly say that I don't feel we could have made a better choice for my mother's care than McKinley Park Care Center. Mom has (unfortunately) spent 2 separate lengthy stays at McKinley Park after surgery. Each of our stays have been overall extremely positive.
