Mervis is expensive, however you do get what you pay for. GIA certified (highest diamond certification you can get), Free cleanings at anytime, and some ring companies (like Tacori) offer free maintenance which is great for a lose stone or something like that. I couldn't have been more pleased with the shopping experience and the knowledge of the staff. I've visited the Jared's and other jewelers and they can't compare. My fiancé bought my engagement ring from Mervis, and we later returned together to buy wedding bands. The service started out great, and we love our rings. However, they treated us (and me in particular) badly when it came time to pay. We'd agreed that since my fiancé had covered the engagement ring, I would buy the wedding bands. So pleased! I took my engagement ring in on a Monday to be resized. I needed it sized down 1.25 sizes. I was nervous because it is a channel set ring and I have heard they are difficult to resize. I also had a general fear that my ring wouldn't be safe wherever I took it to be resized. Well this place is safe. Very confused why anyone thinks two locked doors is a bad thing. I bought my fiancé's engagement ring at Mervis and they were fantastic -especially our salesperson, Brie. Let me first be clear about the person behind this review - I would never have risked leaving this kind of investment up to an average jeweler. My (now) fiancé and I went to Mervis to look at rings before our engagement so I could give him an idea of what kind of ring I preferred. I highly suggest making an appointment if you plan on going over the weekend because it can get busy. Upon arrival we were greeted and sat in a private room. I went shopping here for some jewelry for my S.O. I thought I should pop into Mervis since it was between two of the stores I was looking into, but I was sadly disappointed with what they offer. Firstly, the selection here is minimal. They tell you there's more in the back, but I can't imagine it's more impressive than what they have up front - and are there any other settings? I have so much to say about my experience at Mervis, I hardly know where to begin. I will come back and fill in this review as I have time. Initially, let me just give folks some practical advice. If you choose to shop at Mervis, make sure to shop around and compare the quality and price of what you are buying--make sure you are comparing apples-to-apples.
