Terrible I bought this less than two months ago and it has already stopped working. Brother customer service is nonexistent.
Sloooooooowwwww Dear Lord this is the slowest printer I have ever had. I have never had to wait this long for just a few lines of Black and Whites text. See quality of the color print is great but go get some coffee and come back for one picture. It is not loud but it makes up for it by being extremely slow. It is not worth keeping. There's no setting for print quality. So even for printing a 100 page bw low res document, this printer has no setting. Not recommended. PHANTOM PAPER JAM This is my initial review and I’m doing it because many reviews here dissuaded me from considering this printer especially regarding setup connection issues. Well, it was a breeze and the print quality is perfect. I just downloaded the right driver on my pc and the wizard did the rest. I really don’t know why others struggled with it. Prints dull color, received a used printer Prints extremely dull color. I would be shocked if this is actually how the printer prints, or if perhaps mine was defective. My $25 HP desk jet that recently broke after 3 years did a much better job printing. When I received this printer, it was clearly a return, the box was damaged and everything was loose in the box. Awful Just terrible. Couldn’t even print one page without it jamming.
Problems keep happening I bought this printer for personal use. Setup was fine. Since then however I have had various problems. First it gave me problems saying I was offline. After about 1 1/2--2 hrs on the phone with helpline, that problem seems to be resolved. Then I got error messages saying I was using wrong-sized paper & out of paper, even though it was not true. I have a computer programming degree and I can't install the drivers even after a month! It looks like it can do a lot, maybe it can.And it's got big ink tanks.I was able to do everything except install the drivers, and the printer cleaned it's heads 3 times before I decided to take out the ink cartridges until after the drivers are downloaded.Until those drivers are on your computer, you're better off with a pad and pencil.I fell for their line about how nice it is- maybe it is, when I can use it I'll find out-I had that pr... read more
